Go for a superior room with the view, the standard rooms are on the top floor with the small dormer window. Our room 106 had 2 twins together and another twin against the wall which is always useful to toss your stuff on. Depending on the room you get, the first impression may not be “ah, lovely”. Those huge windows... More

Great hotel, great location and best Waiter ever. Abdou thank you. Pity other waiters in the world don't have your ability to give such a high level of service. The hotel was great with a fantastic outlook. Only complaint is they need to serve dinner earlier than 9 pm to those who want it.

We enjoyed our stay at this hotel. Very friendly staff and nice rooms. The hotel sits on a hill just outside of the main downtown area so you have nice views of the village. It is probably a bit far to walk downtown but it is only a 5 - 10 minute drive. Breakfast was good (great coffee) with a... More

A stunning part of the world, the hotel is set amongst great scenery. The rooms are large and comfortable the staff are friendly and some English is spoken. The only problem was paying in the morning when all of their card machines were "broken" which meant driving into the town to the bank as I didn´t have enough cash one... More

This is really a very good hotel, but if, like us, you end up with a room on the top floor, you get a large room with a great bathroom, but the room itself is dull and drab, having only one small window. We had good service from the staff, when you could find them. They came and stoked up... More

Beautiful hotel, all bedrooms are lovely and large with magnificent views. Excellent restaurant, again with lovely views, and attentive staff although maybe a few more were needed but those that were there were good. Great parking for our cars. I agree with previous reviewers it is a long walk to the town, but when there there are plenty of restaurants... More

The hotel is beautifully appointed. Rooms large, views wonderful, parking good. But there seem to be very few staff. There was seldom anyone on the desk and given that the reception area is large and beautiful the hotel felt like being aboard the Marie Celeste. The second day the heating was not on and when we went to have dinner... More

This is a real 'Jekyll and Hyde' of a hotel, and thus, very difficult to star-rate. Especially for me, as I usually only review good places on the grounds that TA travellers want help to find gems rather than read negative reviews from over-sensitive whingers who feel they've been let down and wish to cane the perceived offender! So first,... More

We had five days at La Cepada and loved it. Gracious welcome from Abdo - this man should be a hotel manager in his own right, terrific blend of helpfulness, graciousness and linguistic brilliance - then the surprise of a very spacious bedroom with extremely comfortable beds plus all usual mod cons. We lived in Southern Spain for a number... More

The location of the hotel affords spectacular views over Cangas De Onis and the mountains beyond. The staff were very welcoming and friendly and the hotel was spotlessly clean. Our Spanish language skills are practically non existent so the restaurant menu was extremely daunting on our first night but we were rescued by Head Waiter Abdou who patiently guided us... More
