A very good, no-frills hotel. Rooms and staff are definitely four-star... Other facilities more basic. Good things first: friendly, helpful, English-speaking staff (for those of us with limited Spanish); very well-appointed, clean, comfortable rooms; instant hot water in the large bathrooms; free wifi; lots of easily accessed power points; plenty of on-site parking. The negatives are minor: there's no restaurant,... More

A nice boutique hotel just a short walk from the centre of Cangas de Onís. The bedrooms are really lovely and the shower rooms are spacious and luxurious. Breakfast was good and is the only meal provided. It is not a full service hotel. There is no restaurant - the cafeteria is a bar and does not serve food, other... More

We stayed in the beautiful town of Cangas de Onis for three nights and the location of the hotel was perfect. Few minutes walk to the Roman Bridge and the restaurants and cafes of the town. We had a nice welcome from the gentleman we believed to be the owner who was full of helpful information on the area. The... More

This lives up to the tasteful photos on display here. We had two nights and were impressed with the efforts made by friendly and helpful staff to give us a quiet room. We stayed at the top of the hotel in a loft room ( no one above) and it was very quiet. We could hear the lift but it's... More

The Granda is a relatively new hotel, the rooms are comfy, clean and quiet apart from the service lift which we could hear from our room periodically. As already noted there are no bathtubs but the showers are good. My biggest problem with the bathroom was the dim lighting, they use low energy bulbs which get brighter the longer they... More

A good value for money. Nicely designed and decorated building with large parking lot (very important in Cangas de Onis!), helpful personnel and comfortable clean rooms. Short walking distance from Puente Romano and center of town. Can get a little loud during daytime due to constant traffic in the nearby street, but is very quiet at night. Rooms have modern... More

Nice hotel, built from a colonial house 2-3 years ago. Good location, not in the center of the town, but literally 2 minutes away. Very clean, with new furniture. Spacious room with good WC (lacking bathub for those who like it). Large free parking lot Efficient staff. Only heard water running through the pipes (in the wall?) once in the... More

Pay attention: there is no fan or air conditioning and no tub in rooms. The cooling system is not efficient. No room service menu. Positive points: Parking available all time. The hotel staff was extremely helpful and nice. It takes only 5 minutes walking from the bridge, so it's quiet and it has a good location.

This is a new hotel (rebuilt from an old mansion). The hotel staff were extremely helpful - nothing is too much trouble, you get the feeling you really were welcomed! We had a family room which was large and minimalist. The bathroom looked very swish, but was a little impracticable for us. Everything was squeaky clean and efficient. Breakfast is... More

Possibly one of the worst stays I've ever had in Spain. Absolutely no soundproofing in the rooms means you can hear everything from the adjoing rooms and noisy cleaning staff slamming doors almost continually outside from 6am on (and we are not exaggerating here). Weekend breakfast served only till 10:30am. Mini bar not stocked with anything and no room service... More
