The hotel is situated between big mountains with snow tops... Extremely wonderful... Service was almost good. Food in restaurant was tasteful, we ordered BBQ and grilled vegetables. Swiming pool is beautiful and has interesting plan.

Great hotel for a lovely relaxing spa break. The rooms are huge with great views over the mountains. Definitely sporting Kazakh bling furnishings but this adds to part of the fun. The spa is good, with a nice pool, although they are picky about serving you at the poolside. Great views of the valley from the pool itself. The hotel... More

The hotel is good, rooms are not very big but clean and warm. Restaurant is a little expensive but quality of the food is good enough. No many English speaking people there, so better to know 2 words of Russian at least. Ski track is quite easy, good for beginners like me, and it's of course possible to rent ski... More

We went to Akbulak with friends and their kids. It was a great getaway from the heat of the city. Beautiful mountains and cool mountain air. The room is really nice and it's a fresh building. Plus we used the swimming pool, which was really cool. However, service leaves much to be desired. If you go to the restaurant, it... More

I came here for a conference. Ak-Bulak is a large complex featuring tracks for skiing and ice-skating stadium. It is situated in a picturesque area some 20 km away from Almaty. It is made in European style and offers a solid level of service. Its restaurant serves Kazakh and European food. The rooms are comfortable and good. I'd recommend this... More

Not far from Almaty, a normal car brings you up even in winter. Rent the complete (new and good) ski equipment right there and off you go! It's not Switzerland, don't come with such expectation to here. It's small, simple, but you can ski. It's basically one slope with three continuous lifts, the higher you go to more difficult. Take... This is very well structured ski resort with attraction for every ages and skiing level. Great infrastructure and prepared slopes. Take your own equipment with you. Rental is quite high(6000 tenge=40 USD). Or rent it from Almaty - 3 times cheaper (3000 tenge for 2 days) and much better from depreciation perspective:-) Its opened from 9 to 5p, than from7p...
