...remarkable Rwanda! If you are time poor then Akagera Aviation's helicopters are the way to get around the land of a thousand hills. And into Nyungwe Forest Lodge - by air! Incredible experience. The Lodge is 5 star: the suites stylishly furnished and the beds ever so comfortable.

I was there end of July with my family of 6 so we had a family suite and a regular room. Kids jaws dropped the moment they stepped in their rooms, this was an absolute 5 stars experience for them, they loved it! The welcome cocktail was delicious, the lounge cosy, the setting stunning and the food very nice too.... More

I stayed here with a friend for one night in August. The landscape is something you truly have to see (you can walk around or borrow a bike and head to the tea factory). The hills and mountains surrounding the lodge make for one of the most scenic sights i've seen. The lodge itself is stunning, rooms are spectacular and... More

This hotel is located in the ideal location for chimpanzee tracking and hiking in Nyungwe Forest National Park. It is nestled into a working tea plantation with stunning views of the forest and a quiet, peaceful ambiance. The rooms are extremely luxurious, and the food was absolutely delicious. All of the staff were kind and attentive, and they offer (huge)... More

Unlike the insanely expensive lodges around Virunga NP, this is one great hotel that is still reasonably priced - even more so with a resident visa. The main lounge is fantastic for tea come rain, and the plunge pool a great place to cool down after a long hike in the forest. Some issues with having enough hot water in... More

This is a beautiful hotel nestled in a tea plantation boardering the forest. Each group of 4 bungalows are beautifully appointed with all the 5 star amenities you could ask for. Sitting on the balcony provides stunning views of wild life, especially birds. The main reception dining room is stunning with open fire and very helpful staff. We did two... More

Amazing location just at the boarder of the rain forest. Really a 5-star experience, including all the amenities that you would like. Apart from doing the chimpanzees and colobus monkey trekking, visit the local tee factory. If you do the canopy walk, bring the bikes so you can ride back down to the lodge.

Everything perfect. Except for expensive wine. Compared to the wine quality and the overall standard of the Lodge. Can especially recommend the Spa. And all the guided activities, including the guided tour at the local Tea Factory......

It was a great place to stay while primate trekking. The main building and guest rooms have a great design sense. The staff was awesome -- very helpful and engaging. Food was very good. I love the way the grounds are all part of the tea plantation providing great ambience.

This truly is a first class property. Set on tea plantation the vistas are magnificent. The staff is very accommodating, both at reception and in restaurant, and interior decorating and architecture is very interesting. From small things like hot hand towels at arrival to heated towel racks to big things like location and feeling like you are in a special... More
