This Campanile has something of a captive audience, being the only hotel in Chateauneuf. Perhaps that accounts for some of the complacency I encountered on a recent visit. Rooms are small, bath linens are poor (thin bath towels, no hand towels provided - when I inquired at the desk I was given two more bath towels). The room was clean... More

We had come along the Route Napoleon from Grenoble and whilst we admired the magnificent views and tried to see one or two things along the way, we were quite tired on arrival. We were heartened to find this Campanile situated in a peaceful, pastoral village setting away from traffic with beautiful fields of grass surrounding it with trees and... More

This Campanile is in need of refurbishment but the friendliness of the staff made up for the shortfalls of the hotel. The receptionist was very kind and helpful. The room was very tired but it was clean and the bed comfortable. The restaurant food was very good. Campanile's always give good value for the buffets. This was an ideal spot... More

Chateaunelf is a very small area. Outside Grasse, it is beautifully quiet and serene. There was actually wi fi in our room. Most of the places we stayed boasted wi if access, but be sure and read the fine print,"in the common areas". We selected B&B's with that assumption and found it to be untrue. A pain when you may... It is fine if you just need a bed for the night. The reception in the restaurant and manned on the busy sunday and monday we were there by only one person. The room was relatively clean but small - space filled by bed surrounded by very narrow space around it. The bathroom had a shower set in a 1/2... More

The rooms are very basic in this little hotel, but they are clean and the air con is quite good. The staff are very friendly and after raisin preventing us from walking to a nearby restaurant we ate at the hotel. It was lovely! Nice food, well cooked and good wine!

Hotel is ok. Rooms are clean, location is ok, restaurant is not a preferred choice for diners in the area. Cafeteria feeling. Not cheap resto. Here it's al about price and location. There online reservations.... we reserved twice and made comments and special requests on room etc.... they don't read comments on internetbooking so don't bother.

Pros: - Good enough if you're passing through. - Price was very reasonable with good and comfortable bed. - There is a good Italian restaurant within walking distance. Cons: - There's a really nothing much to do and see.

I have passed this hotel many times over the years having a house nearby but never needed to stay. However this year I did have a need and I was pleasatly surprised. The rooms were quiet, clean and comfortable and reasonably sized. Furnishings were modest but adequate. Free wifi access in the room was appreciated. the restaurant is also perfectly... More
