I wish I had of known about these reviews before I left!! The negative reviews is EXACTLY HOW we were treated! We had high expectations for our honeymoon, we were extremely dissapointed all 'round. They would not put us on the package we had actually booked and told us "once your on the island you can't change your package!" I... more

We stayed at this so-called 'resort' for 2 nights - 3 days and it was absolutely terrible. We expected it to be a wonderful place, (the island itself and the animals that 'visit' the island are impressive) but the resort was worthless. The staff was not friendly and seemed to be unhappy all the time. The organisation upon arrival with... more

We had high expectations for Tangalooma, especially for the dolphin feeding. In our 2 weeks in AU, this was one of the pricier hotels we stayed at - the same price we paid as the BLUE hotel in Sydney. The dolphins were great and the views amazing, but the service at this "resort" is atrocious, and the rooms were bare... more

A friend who had been to Tangalooma before recommended this resort as a perfect place to stop at at the end of our holiday. We were warned about the prices on the island (only one resort shop so prices higher than main land, which is to be expected), so we took over some supplies with us. On arrival at the... more

This was the most relaxing and yet exciting weekend I've spent with my family. I've travelled all around the world and have now discovered that I only need to cross Moreton Bay in ONE HOUR to be in a place that equals any other location I've ever been at. We are a family and were looking for family fun and... more

Stayed in a house up on the hill at Tangalooma Island Resort. We were skeptical as I had read some really bad reviews. However the house was fantastic, had spectacular views, was spacious, modern and very comfortable. There was so many activities to do, sand boarding, eco boat tours, quad biking, para flying, snorkeling, segways tours on the beach, too... more

Really lovely place, we enjoyed a relaxing time. The service and rooms were great. If I had any complaints it would be the food, it was pretty ordinary, in all the restaurants. So having bbq's are the way to go. more

We had an awful stay at this resort. We wanted a nice weekend away but what we got was ripped off. This place is very expensive for what you get. The rooms themselves are OK. We had quite a nice little view. The room is reasonably big. The standard of accommodation is about what you would expect if you were... more

there is absolutely nothing good that i can say about tangalooma. it felt like i was at a extremely sub-par sleepaway summer camp. you had to do your own dishes at breakfast lunch and dinner?? what is with that. also, room service refused to clean rooms if they were messy, seriously, lets be realistic, isnt that what room service is... more

Nov 20, 2009 | Trip type: Couples

We were staying two nights as part of a tour. As others have noted, the check-in (and check-out) is very slow because large numbers arrive and leave at the same time, on the ferry. The baggage takes even longer to find your room, unless you take it yourself. The rooms were modern, clean and spacious, with a comfortable bed. No... more
