Generally I read reviews about a hotel and after that I book. This time I booked the hotel and read the reviews afterwards. Because not too many reviews seemed to be positive I was a bit concerned that I may not like the hotel. But everything was GREAT. The staff were very kind and helpful, we felt great to be... More

This author and his partner were at the Elysium for six nights, and each night was a treat. In spite of the rather Spartan bedding (pun intended), the staff was extremely accommodating, especially Emil by the pool and Kelly tending bar. Every sunset, all the guys in town would come up to the clifftop pool/bar and watch the sunset while... More

I booked a room online and was nervous given some of the mixed remarks. I had a BLAST! Stayed there by myself and found the place to be very nice and very clean. It was a typical Greek Islands kinda place.....minimalistic, but the service was excellent. Nearly all the staff was helpful and VERY Friendly...ESPECIALLY NIKKO. Yes, it is expensive... More

I'm not sure why there are so many negative reviews. My friend and I stayed there (July 2007) a week ago and our experience was awesome!! George and Nick at reception were extremely helpful and provide a service way beyond anything I have ever experienced in a hotel. I wanted a rental car, they had it delivered in a half... More

Booked a stay here but with some mixed feelings after reading other reviews on TripAdvisor. Location turned out not to be a problem - it is a steep climb up a hill from the bus station, but only about 100m, and it does mean that there are glorious views from the hotel's terrace. Room was nice enough, and a decent... More

I have never been so appalled in my life with the attitude of the staff of this hotel from start to finish. The owner laughed at me when I complained of unsanitary conditions of my room upon my checking in. He told me that the island was full and if I dared, to leave his hotel and find another. Not... If I manage to forget the location of the hotel and the stairs from the root of the hill to the entrance of the hotel, all the other were perfect. An terrific view in the fantastic poll bar, very good rooms, excellent bathroom luxuries, absolutely friendly staff. All these can make me forget the stairs of the hill. PS to... More

I wish I could say something positive but they never answered my several emails asking for a reservation in March 2008. I sent emails from different email adresses just in case the problem would be on my side. I guess there business must be so good that they don't need my reservation for a week.... Bad service from the start,... More

There are great views from the pool/bar area of the Elysium. We enjoyed the staff, especially Kelly who is the bartender. While not far from town, it is up a VERY steep hill, which led us to buy food in town and eat and drink on our patio the last night (of three) that we were there. The biggest problem... More

I was one of the first guests this season (they opened May 1), one of maybe 30 or 40 guests by the end of my stay. 1) The property is just lovely, and Mykonos generally is in bloom in May. The rooms are not lavish but very nicely appointed, with good size bathrooms; rooms have either a balcony or small... More
