We stayed in this hotel for 3 days; the booking was done through Santorini Mykonos website (who claims it is a travel agent) The booking was done in May from Australia through this site and paid for three days accommodation. When we arrived at the Hotel we were thoroughly disappointed in Australia this kind of hotel would never get any... more

I booked this hotel during the high season when options where low and prices were high. When we arrived, the room was marginal. There was no safe for my camera, money... and the lock on the door could have been picked with a paper clip. The A/C did not work well. The room was old. We immediately went to the... more

3 of us arrived in August 2006 after being promised a room with a view. We had a small room down the bottom where the scooters are parked. The room was OK. Simple but everything you touch was falling apart. It is a budget hotel, but for the price I expected a little more. Our electricity kept cutting out at... more

When we first arrived they tried to put us into a very small double that was in pretty bad shape and so we asked to see if they had another double with a view. We asked very nicely and even though they kept claiming the room we had was a very nice room we said we just wanted to see... more

I found the hotel overpriced and was definately not what I expected. It is considered an OK hotel amongst the locals but the service was a bit dissapointing. Firstly the swimming pool is medium to small and not very clean. The room I was given had no view, the hangers for the towels in the bathroom were broken and bed... more

We stayed at the Madalena Hotel for three nights. Personally, I found the hotel way over-priced even for Mykonos. The staff is indifferent at best, the breakfast very uninspiring and the so-called views non-existent. Looking at their website one would think that at great view of the harbour would await the guest but that's not what we found. The views... more

I stayed at the Madalena Hotel for a week at the beginning to June. Mrs Madalena (I think that's her name) was very friendly and helpful. Although her English wasn't great. (But my Greek is worse) Her daughter and grandaughter were very helpful. The rest of the staff was friendly. I was first given a room with a twin beds.... more

After having my reservation at the Hotel Elysium unceremoniously canceled by the owner, we were left scrambling to find other accomodations on Mykonos. We were able to secure accomodations at the Madalena Hotel. Other than a long wait for a pick-up at the cruise boat dock, we were quite happy with the accomodations. They aren't fancy, but are close-in to... more

5 of us stayed here in July, 2005 for 3 nights. We had one triple room (3 single beds) and 1 double room (1 double bed). Great views to water, port and a bit of the town. Easy few hundred metre walk into town. Coming back to hotel is a lot harder, all uphill in the summer heat. But there... more

As the previous review states, this hotel has amazing views of the sea, a pool and is quite close into town but far enough so its not disturbed by noise. Rooms are basic but clean with aircon and tv and how much time will you spend in the room in a place like Mykonos? Views more than make up for... more
