With a very welcoming staff, breakfast room and lobby filled with antiques, interesting floor plan with comfortable outside seating and pool area, we enjoyed our stay at the Despotike. Location was near the main bus stop as well as within walking distance to the towns restaurants and shops. Located on the hill, our view was of the port where the... More

Stayed here on second leg of Greece trip. Little disappointing after having been to Santorini first. Not a good beginning as I was traveling with two other females. Triple room had been requested but after long ferry ride and being tired, standing in the lobby waiting patiently for check in was not a plus. Also when our turn finally came,... More

Check in: a bit slower, accommodating. Room: adorable, first floor patio comfortable and cozy yet runs along grounds to the garden, 2 patios and pool. Clean, comfortable bed and pillows, mini fridge, no amenities beyond shampoo and soap, satellite TV (which still only had 1/2 stations in English), very damp which shouldn't be an ongoing issue but was the experience... The staff are friendly and very helpful and speak English. The breakfast in the lovely dining room was wonderful. The pool is clean and neat but we couldn't use it because the weather was too cool. It is on a busy hill with no sidewalk and is dangerous to walk to town which is 10 minutes away. Our room was... More

We stayed for a few days in despotikon. The room was really average, with agood view and value for money. Pros: the great location (3minute walk from the center) Minus: that it is not something special. Didnt regret the choice!

Very dark, the most uncomrfotable pool I have ever been to. Not too friendly staff. Really overpriced. Please avoid. Close to the centre but too close to the road and too noisy. Have to admit that the room was clean enough.

On this particular trip to Mykonos it wasn’t about the beach, (at least not everyday). We wanted a hotel that would allow us the opportunity to walk to the crazy and quirky town. There are shops, eateries, museums and much, much more not to be missed. Another item on our check list was to be close to a bus station... More

Very good hotel with good location an wide room. Nice pool area. We did not experienced any food service, like breakfast. The service was nice and the woman on the desk was available when we needed. We could stay at the pool area even after our stay was over.

I thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. A cute boutique/family-run hotel - superb location - close enough to walk to the old town, windmills, Little Venice, restaurants, cafes, bars - and bus/taxi to rest of island's beaches/other locations. Our room was lovely - looked out over the Agean Sea [lovely to wake up to - always a dream of mine!] with... More

Having read some of the previous reviews, I somewhat dreaded my stay at the Despotiko. What I found there was a lovely surprise. First, as one reviewer mentioned, the public areas are charming and lovely. Second, in contrast to other reviewers, I found the staff accommodating, accessible, cordial and efficient. They seemed eager to help in whatever ways they could... More
