I stay in Chanthaburi for business 3 months a year and like the location of this guest house very much.. It's in the middle of town walking distance to most places. Last year the guest house was run by "Pee Nut" and her boyfriend and was clean and quiet.. I descent bargain hotel. This year there was a new owner... More

Well, we're do I start......I am a business man from the UK, here to buy gems. Why stay in a budget hotel? The need for a real feel of real people......ok the rooms are poor, but very clean, they need a total revamp, but what was simply the best, the staff.....they were honest and so nice, music added to my... The hostel is ok, rooms are ok not too quiet and clean, but ok, breakfast is alright. SO if you are just passing through the city and wish to stay for a night or two, it is alright to stay here especially given the prices.

We stayed there just one night on our way to northern Thailand. It was impossible to find any guesthouse in the centre, so we were happy to see a clean and quiet lobby... The room wasn't exactly the same: quite dirty, tiny bed (supposed to be a double one), mouldy bathroom. 250 Baht were fine with us, but just because... More

Tiny, dirty room without so much as a plug socket. Breakfast consisted of cold fried eggs soaked in grease, and two kinds of processed meat, named "sausage" and "bologna" respectively, also cold and soaked in grease. Toast was brought to the table without knife or butter 10 minutes before the rest, presumably to allow it to go cold also... Stay... More

Stayed for 12 hours out of 4 days in Chanthaburi. Filthy tiny aircon rooms, no insulation from road. Air con unit noisy, blows black stuff on bed & does not cover road noise. Bed springs thru mattress. LInens gross. Bathroom moldy. Smells like pesticides and black fungus.. Single Electrical outlet on ceiling. Fire trap impression. Owners rude & 'checked out'.... More

I've been several times to this guesthouse. Rooms smell of bad fungus, huge roaches here and there, limited amenities and old old rooms, plus the staff is not especially friendly, but at least it was cheap. Well, not anymore. They have now increased their rates significantly and it's really not worth it.

This little guest house by the river has quite a bit going for it. Considered giving it a fourth star. It has a spacious terrace out front, which is a good place to sit. The fridge is well stocked with beer and the internet is a very reasonable 20 baht per hour. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The rooms... More

I didn't realise how bad it ws until i closed the room door, within 5 mins i could hardly breath. Was already 11pm, couldn't find anywhere else to stay, had to sleep with door open, totally unsafe, eaten alive by mossies, staff couldn't give a monkey's. They have a cheek to sell these rooms, they are unfit for human habitation.... More
