We have used the Pastures hotel on several occations and can recommend the friendly warm yorkshire welcom. The rooms are of the highest quality and comfortable. The morning breakfast is second to non and special requirements are no trouble at all. the Hotel is spotless and across the car park is the Pastures lodge which is a family pub with... more

We had come up from Somerset for a wedding, booked for the weekend special (2 nights for £99) At first glance, Pastures is very large. There is a play area for children and what looks like a large pub/restaurant. Faintly dismayed as I thought the hotel looked a bit tacky...but we soon found out the hotel was across the parking... more

This is a modern and roomy hotel in an attractive building on the edge of Mexborough in the Barnsley / Doncaster / Rotherham ‘triangle,’ with reasonably good access to the motorway network. A large and tidy if unremarkable modern pub is in a similarly-styled building on the other side of the car park. Double rooms are spacious and include a... more

After travelling 5 hours to get to this hotel, which was listed as a 3 star hotel, it was most disappointing to find that although there was a sign outside the hotel stating 'fine dinning', there was actually no restaurant or even a bar open to sit and relax in. We were informed at reception that the bar and restaurant... more

Stayed at this hotel for 2 nights whilst attending a wedding. Rooms were spacious and clean, and the staff on reception very friendly and helpful. No other amenities at the hotel to mention really. Breakfast is served at the pub accross the road, which was plentiful and very tasty! Nice stay, but can't think of a reason why anyone would... more

The Pastures Hotel is an independently run motel (rooms with a separate ‘pub’). It’s based on the same model as so many of the chains, but as it’s independently run it’s quality is higher than the chain version. The rooms are comfortable and large enough for business travel. The adjacent ‘pub’ is large, and can get very busy, but it’s... more
