I Chose the Riu Playa Park for a cheap, all-inclusive four-night break from the bleak Irish weather in May. In my opinion, you get exactly what you pay for with this hotel: the staff are courteous and friendly, drinks are plentiful and the food is edible. Nightly entertainment (although some of the poorest I've ever witnessed in my adult life)... More

The Riu Playa Park is situated only 300 mtr from the Bierstrasse, the populair hangout for the mostly German girls and guys. Although the noise from the street is hardly noticable, the hotel it self is a popular sleeping place for them and when comming home they make a lot of noise. Swimming pools oke, all-inclusive oke, staff fine, security... More

Ive just returned from a short break at this hotel in playa de palma. I wanted somewhere that didnt involve much travelling as I had my elderly mother in law and small son. The plus points first.. The hotel, although a little dated, was fine. The staff were excellent, especially considering what they had to put up with and the... More

This is a nice hotel in the worst resort I have ever been to. I wish I had taken notice of the reviewer who said it is like German Magalluf, because that's exactly what it is. The hotel guests were exclusively German apart from us and very, very loud. As soon as you go out of the hotel you are... More

We had a very warm welcome from reception and were told we had a very nice room and we were not disappointed. The room was 611 and was on the 6th floor (as requested) and had a fabulous view of the sea and the bay. The receptionist rang our room to see if we were satisfied with the room and... More

Pros - the staff are very polite and attentive. The drinks are generous and plentiful. The 21 bus takes you to the airport for 2.5 Euros each. The 25 bus to Palma is only 1.5 Euro and Palma is well worth a visit. The cakes are good. Cons - the place is pretty dated and has limped over from the... More

We were impressed with the hotel. It was spotlessly clean and we had a very good room, with a sea view. We arrived at the end of February, just after a period of cold rain, so the room was a bit chilly. Upon telling the reception staff, they immediately gave us a small fan heater and an extra blanket, which... More

My husband and I have just returned from a week here. Excellent value, pleasant room with balcony overlooking the two outdoor pools. It was sunny and warm enough to lounge round them first few days (though no-one actually in them). Staff all extrememly friendly and obliging. It seemed there was just us and one other couple who were English, all... More

Stayed here august 2012 with mixed family group including a toddler and young baby. Hotel staff lovely very accommodating and amenable. All inclusive great value for money too. Rooms altho spotlessly clean quite dated, no aircon just fans meant uncomfortable nights, not so good esp for little ones. Also no tea/coffee facilities or fridge in room. Hotel is largely German... This is probably a great hotel, but not during July or August. Playa de Palma is a relocated Munich beer festival during the summer months with 90,000 drunk youths singing and yelling from 7pm to 7 am. Majorca is lovely and we will be returning soon, but not to this area. The hotel is tired and rooms quite basic, nothing... More
