Just come back from las gaviotas and I can highly recommend the complex to all. We were based in block 3 with our own pool a stones throw from the shopping arcade over the road and also just over from the beach so perfect. The restaurant had excellent food even for the two fussy 15 year old girls, good selection... More

Las Gaviotas provides good accomodation. It is regularly cleaned and the all inclusive option meant access to a good variety of food. My mother has mobility problems, but a walk in shower and close proximity to the restaurant and the beach meant that enjoyment was had for all. Las Gaviotas provided good value for money and a great location for... More

Las Gaviotas was a great part of the resort to stay in. The bungalows were cleaned everyday, the towels and sheets changed as well. Everything under the "campus" of Las Gaviotas was clean and well tended, with a lot of effort put into the pool and poolside areas. The food was of a very good standard, with plenty of variety... Stayed here July 6th-13th All Inclusive, arrived late evening but we were able to have our evening meal before checking in to room. When arriving at room (Block 3 room 14) there was no drinking water in fridge so chased back to restaurant , where bar is located, (shuts at 10.30 pm)!!! only to be told you have to either... More

Me, my Partner and our 4 yr old Daughter stayed here from 3-10th July 2014. We dont expect too much and so was not dissapointed with our stay. Our room was very standard and had apparently had a recent refurb, the floor was dirty upon our arrival and I had to clean this with a broom that was provided. The... More

We arrived at Las Gaviotas and asked for an upgrade to an apartment with air con, this was done with no problem at all. The reception staff especially Inma are very helpful. Our apartment was perfect, near to the pool and restaurant. The furnishings were ok, a few Cockroaches about but we found out that if we left the light... More

We have just come back and would like to say how fantastic the staff are and nothing is to much trouble and the bungalows are very clean. We had a great time and it is very piece full and if you wanted entertainment it was only 5 minutes walk to the shopping centre. The beach is also only 5 minutes... More

I stayed here with my partner in April, the weather was brilliant, the bungalows are really well equipped and very comfy, we could see the sea from a private terrace that had both sun loungers and table and chairs, the pool was around ten steps from our back door, we only paid around £170 for a week, it's well worth... Official Description (provided by the hotel)
THe Las Gaviotas is located in Matagorda, Lanzarote. It has a unique situation on the seafront, actually perfectly connected. Just a few minutes away is found Arrecife (the main city of the island), as well as the international airport, an incredible golf course and also Puerto del Carmen is near (the most important touristic city on the island). In front of the apartments you will find a wonderful avenue, which connects Matagorda with Puerto del Carmen. This is ideal for walking, running and practising other sports. THe Las Gaviotas will surprise you due to the huge amount of open spaces it has and its horizontal architecture, typical of the island. It has 155 completely independent apartments divided in seven sectors. Each sector has its own swimming pool and all of them are perfectly interconnected. ... more   less
