These apartments are basic like most but most important to me was that they were spotless clean. They were cleaned daily & we had a problem with our door lock & the lock was changed no problem. The general reviews of these apartments are fair. These apartments are right on the main street of del carmen yet manage to be peaceful. Not recommended if you want organised entertainment as there is none! The apartments are spotlessly clean and well equipped - whilst we were there they were upgrading the apartments putting in microwaves, not sure what else.... more

I stayed at Barcarola for one week on a family holiday. The place was spotless, manned by wonderfully friendly staff and close to one of the best Italian restaurants I have ever eaten in (Antica Trattoria Di Verona). Stayed at the Barcarola lub with a friend and a fantastic time. The rooms was really big with a nice terrace, living area and fully equiped kitchen, and was extremely clean and well maintained. Stayed in barcarola last wk. It's a well located place with lots of shops and bars. The pool is good and not too deep. The rooms are clean and basic. It's cheap to eat out so don't be disappointed with cooking facilities. You can have a beer in the complex cheaper than some of the places outside, Beach just across... more

Just back from The Barcarola, read all the reviews before I went and was positive, its just like what the reviews say, in off the road, nice gardens, pleasant staff etc. We arrived end of Nov for 1 week, appartment basic but clean, very good cleaning staff, was cleaned every day and sheets changed.
