Beautiful scenery, comfortable rooms, excellent service and good food - what more can you ask for? There are cold and heated swimming pools and loads of other entertainment, including hiking trails that can be hiked accompanied or some unaccompanied by hotel staff.

Stayed here for a wedding. Food particularly was excellent. Morning and afternoon coffee and tea inclusive. Staff fantastic and dramatic scenery amazing. If only I lived nearer I would be a regular visitor. It is a gem of a place to visit and I only hope I will be lucky enough to visit again.

We have just completed a one week stay at Cathedral Peak for our wedding. The venue was magnificent and neither we nor our guests could have asked for a better venue or better service. All of the staff were friendly and attentive, nothing was too much trouble for them. All of the rooms were top quality and the food was... More

I didn't actually spend a night in the hotel, but after a 6-day hike in the mountains was made to feel most welcome (back-pack, dirt and all) and so enjoyed a long cold beer with the majestic mountains towering above the hotel. The surrounds and the foyer/toilets/dining area of the hotel were spic and span, yet welcoming and homely. I... More

We stayed here for two nights in mid July 2014. Our accommodation was truly outstanding (the executive honeymoon suite) which afforded privacy, luxury and breathtakingly beautiful mountain views, especially first thing in the morning! We took full advantage of the organised mountain walks which cater for all ages and abilities. The only disappointment was the dining experience. Although the food... More

When I planned my trip to South Africa, it was independent, I worked with SAR travel and told them I wanted to explore the Drakensberg and she recommended this hotel I drove from Durban up to the hotel via wash bed roads last miles but so worthwhile The rondavel type accommodations were very comfortable. The food in the dining room was... The setting is spectacular - in the midst of the most magnificent mountain range. The accommodation is spacious, extremely comfortable and spotlessly clean. We have never stayed in such a well laid out and spacious family / interleading room situation in all our travels. The hotel amenities are well kept and accessible - we loved the tennis, lawn bowls, puttputt... More

My family of 4 enjoyed a week long break at Cathedral Peak Hotel. What a great family holiday. The kids loved the mini golf and quad bike activities, and their highlight was the walk to the closest waterfall to the hotel. The views are great, and we were lucky enough to have snow on the highest peaks. The food at... More
