Historical, authentic and dating back to1849 (pre-american civil war ) this tucked away little gem of a b&b offers everything a weary traveller needs, with exceptional cleanliness, and fun musical evenings (with landlord phil) a sure fire destination for all rail way enthusiats!

Stayed here for two separate visits to Retford last year on work. When looking online was hesitant to book as it seemed too good to be true, it was spot on. Rooms very reasonably priced with two lovely hosts in Phil and Nicki who run a very tight ship. Rooms were spotless and freshly decorated and nothing was ever too... More

This was our second stay. We booked into the Old Station House during January ...Haven't had time to write this since ! We stayed with our two adult "kids"....21 and 22, as we went to Retford for a family funeral. We were made really welcome again and the rooms were clean and the whole place was really well run. My wife and I stayed here the first week of October and it surpassed the first time we stayed here a few years ago. The owners, Phil and Nickie, did everything they could to make our stay enjoyable and we will not hesitate to stay here again the next time we are in the UK. Thank you once again, OLD... More

Turned up having booked room in June 2013 for 14 September 2013 only to be told that there was no rooms, they had no record of the booking and had booked the whole of guest house for a family function! They did however try to find us alternative accommodation and were most apologetic.

I stayed here for five weeks and I must say it is the best guest house I have ever stayed in. Phil and Nicki were fantastic. Nothing was too much trouble for either of them. The atmosphere there was very friendly and all guests alike were remarking on the excellent ambience. If you go to stay with Phil and Nicki... More
