Stayed here for a week and had a great time. Whilst I agree the rooms could do with a refresh they were comfortable and functional. The customer service was fantastic and the breakfast was lovely and all cooked fresh. I would happily stay here again.

Fantastic stay at Moth & Lantern. We all had a treat & took over the guest house rooms. Lynne & Jay were perfect hosts. Food was lovely & plentiful. Sonja & Syd behind the bar were very friendly. Entertainment was good, local band. Overall we shall be returning & will take our dogs with us ( dog friendly pub). So... More

Stayed here for the weekend with our bike group. Some camped and some stayed in the guesthouse. The rooms were clean and adequate. The field for the campers was large and spacious, the landlord is planning to have some outside toilets and a shower built and also to have a tea urn for the campers. The landlord Jay and Lynn... Basic camping but with an exceptionally good pub. Landlord could not have been more welcoming, great food and beer and very reasonably priced. Suitable for small to medium size gatherings or just a get away for a family. Find a reason to go here !!!

Have just enjoyed an excellent meal at the Moth and Lantern. Delicious tikka masala and naan bread. The food was first class and the service outstanding. A very friendly welcome by the hostess Lynn and her daughter Victoria. This is a hidden gem. Be prepared to be surprised by such a first class find in a village which is off... More

Jay and Lynne are extremely welcoming and do their absolute best to ensure all their guests enjoy their stay. We stayed with a large group for the weekend and I have to say the food was nothing more than outstanding! The Sunday lunch was amazing, a choice of four or five meats and a huge variety of veg, a real... More

We have just had a weekend here with a large group and were very well looked after throughout. Jay and Lynn and all the staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful. We all ate from the bar menu on the Friday evening and without exception the home cooked meals were well received. Breakfast each day was excellent with a... More

You could be forgiven for thinking this place has closed, parts have a distinctly, shut down & unkempt look - I you can get past this & go with the right expectations you'll probably not be disappointed. The is very good, in both quantity & quality - I can particularly recommend the hog roast, but not had a bad meal.... More

My partner and I spent last night there with some friends, we were greeted by Jay and Lynn with a warm welcome and hospitality you dont get in many places (if any). There was a carvery put on for dinner which was the best I have ever had, I think I managed to sample just about everything and its all... More

Been going here now since I found it by chance last year. Lynn is very friendly and so are the bar staff, it doesn't stop there, the locals made me feel extremely welcome. I would describe the rooms as basic but very clean and comfy. The food is very good, all home cooked, expect to wait because of this but... More
