stayed for 1 night as a cheap stop over whilst driving from england to st tropez,to deliver a car for clients of mine,arrived about 8pm,checked in,paid about 37 euros for room and breakfast,room very basic,but very clean,good shower,watched TV for a while then had a good nights sleep,never heard a thing,breakfast was very good for 5 euros,then i was on... Having previously stayed at another hotel of the same chain, we thought this would be a safe bet. It was not, and we would have preferred to sleep in the car. - Rooms extremely dirty - Extremely bad sound isolation, you just hear everything from corridor and neighbouring rooms - Bathroom light constantly flashing - Rooms very much run down... I've been travelling a lot with ships. The building of Bonsai Hotel reminded me of a big cruise-ship. Corridors are narrow. Also the room was like a cabin in the ship. We liked this hotel, it was cheap and basic but clean and was fairly comfy! The shower was tiny, but it served its purpose. The room was pretty quirky. Paid to stay at this hotel through expedia. Travelled 8hrs from Dunkirk to Dijon, arrived at 9.50pm to find out that the reception closed at 9.30pm.
