We have been using Campaniles for over 20 years as good value stopovers when travelling in France. The accommodation is predictable, adequate and clean and this was the case at Bethune. What has changed, though, is the food. This used to be where Campanile shone over other budget accommodation. We have stayed in five Campaniles this year and all have... More

A lot of the reviews of budget hotel/motels are from people expecting the Sheraton or Westin and then getting disappointed. The hotel was exactly what I expected and the price I paid for the room was about right. It is clean and comfortable and is situated on the first roundabout, then second exit from Exit 6 off the A26 Motorway.... More

Stayed here for one night prior to catching the ferry from Calais. The hotel is 2 minutes from the motorway and easy to find. There is a retail park right next door with a supermarket and a couple of fast food outlets if you don't want to eat in the restaurant, though being able to eat in the hotel is... More

An easy hour's journey down the motorway from Calais, we had printed off the map from the website and had no problems locating it, the signage was clear in daylight. The restuarant was o.k. for dinner, usual Campanile standard, as was the breakfast. In fact the only difference from any other Campanile was that we were on a second floor.... More

We were a group of cyclists travelling to and from the The Somme and this was a very good inexpensive stop over. The rooms are basic but clean and the restaurant and staff are to be commended. They run very very lean on staff but we never found any problem with this. The bar is also reasonably priced and the... More

Wow, this Campanile came at the end of a monster drive up from the South of France full of traffic jams and delays. We arrived tired, exhausted and just in time to squeeze some dinner in before service finished at 21:45. The staff were welcoming and accommodating, happy to speak English to assist our frazzled French. The food was tasty,... More

Stayed here for one night on our way back to the UK from Spain. I did not have great expectations of the place, and indeed they were met! Firstly the place looks a bit run down like it's due a re-furb soon, with the paint in our room peeling ETC. Can live with that though. What was not so good... More

My brother and I spent four nights here in mid-June 2013, as we visited the nearby site of the Battle of Loos, tracing where our grandfather fought in 1915, and then various other First World War cemeteries and battlefields heading up towards Ypres, 30 miles north. The Campanile was well-placed for this (it did take us a while to find... More

A modern hotel conveniently situated just off Junction 6 of the A6 Motorway. The insignificant looking access road is just at the entrance to a large retail park (first right after the roundabout) and could do with better and more prominent signs. Rooms are basic but comfortable and very clean. A tea/coffee tray is provided (with top-ups available on request)... More

This was our first experience of staying at a campanile and chosen primarily on location, a few minutes off junction 6 (bethune) the main A26 about 50 mins drive from Calais. After the peage at the first roundabout take second right into the retail park and then take sharp first turn on the right. Head straight past decathlon and you... More
