We wanted a night to sleep in the middle of our journey to the south of France, and this was right near the motorway but we couldn't hear anything from it. This hotel was very adequate, not luxury. Short version: You can tell it's a 2 star hotel, but there is nothing to do in Macon, so only travelers would stay, and only overnight, so who cares. A definite 2 star hotel. Easy to find. This is a no thrills sleeping place for people passing along the peage. The hotel looks a lot newer from the outside than it does from the inside. The room was fairly dated and the bathroom would certainly have to be described as basic. However it is not enormously expensive so you get what you pay for!
