I have stayed here a few times before, but all a long time ago, so I wasn't surprised by the two storey 'holiday chalet' style room, but I'm afraid it is off the list now until it gets some serious modernisation. It is not particularly cheap, even when booked in advance - compare it for example this room to UK... More

Bad experience from start to finish in a very small old room with no space to even turn. I knew we were in for a bad experience as soon as I walked into the room and tried to have a rest - before a very early start next morning. Occupiers of the rooom next door had left their dog alone... More

We just needed and overnight stay before returning to the UK via Dunkirk. We like the Campanile chain because you know what to expect as regards quality and standards, rather like Premier Inns. This Campanile did not disappoint but it seemed to be an older one and the rooms were on two levels and reminded us of 1960s/70s UK holiday... More

It is some years since we last stayed in a Campanile. Then, they were a good known quantity, clean and bright and in good state of repair. Perhaps the economic downturn over the last few years has taken its toll. While the room was clean enough, it looked tired and in need of a refurbishment. The restaurant was OK but... More

It was like having your own little chalet near to the sea port and Hypermarkets. It was kept very clean and great value for money. Loved it breakfast is served in a small dinning room and consisted of a continental buffet. There is a small village 5mins away with only a few shops, however, the centre of Dunkirk is only... More

We were driving from the ferry at Cherbourg to a wedding in Bruges and booked a stopover at the campanile Dunkirk. Hotel was easy to find, lots of free parking, it was 11pm when we arrived and checked in speedily and slept all night soundly in a comfy bed. The wedding in Bruges was at 2pm so we got up... More

Stayed here for one night with young daughter, it's like a motel off the American movies! room was very small with double bed & small metal frame put up bed & small wardrobe. Free parking & ment to be free wifi but wouldn't work as signal on lower ground wouldn't work! Would've been okay apart from extremely noisy people in... More

This hotel/motel was very reasonably priced and very close to the motorways. The room was a little dated, but reasonably well decorated, very clean and comfortable. Parking and Wifi are free. There is no traffic in this area, so using the car to get to Dunkerque town centre, Auchan/Carrefour hypermarkets, and the ferry port is no trouble at all. I... More

If you need a place to crash for the night this hotel is OK, but that’s all. We arrived around 11pm and had to go to the next hotel to get our key, but this was by chance since it said nowhere that was the case. The room was clean enough and dry, needed no more so can’t complain. Breakfast... More
