Spent a wonderful 2 nights overlooking the lake. Recommend large lake views with balcony. Impressive building during day and night, old elegant style hotel (not modern). Perhaps the rooms in need of some modern touches. Must have a car, located out of town, security parking available.

I have now been three times invited to stay in Le Palace de Menthon, for business purposes. - Location: Wonderfull on the Annecy Lake, top of a hill, going down to the Lake - Rooms are very decent, somewhat small for a "Palace" - Food is good - Business center is good - People are very classy and willing to... The hotel is located in a small lovely village very near Annecy. It is a very impressive and beautiful hotel which once was a palace. Some things that we didn't like about this hotel: 1. The hotel is located on a hill. The parking is about 2 min. of climbing from down - to the lobby. Not easy at all... More

We just returned from 2 weeks driving around Europe. This was probably my biggest disappointment. It is an impressive looking hotel with beautiful surroundings however the beds are totally worn out. We did tell reception however they just talked around it. Dining room was beautiful but the food lacked character and was quite overpricedf

This is a really nice hotel with a great location on the Annecy lake. Rooms look out over the lake which is really gorgeous. Rooms were very nice, quite luxurious, but maybe a little small. Food in the resraurant was fine, but we were with a group and had a fixed menu. Would have loved to try the swimming pool... More

Le Palace de Menthon is an impressive hotel with very nice surroundings. The nature nearby is fantastic and the view of the lake is just magnificent. So is the view of the mountains and it's a short drive from a lot of nice small towns by the lake and in the mountains. Also, the beach is nearby and the spa... More

Incredible to find that the dining room was closed during the high season. Paid over 250 euros for a room ( no breakfast ) only to discover that we had to eat dinner in a draughty tent by the lake-side. Indifferent food from a fixed price menu. Another 100 euros. Eat elsewhere ! Spectacular views of the lake from our... More

The hotel is right on the banks of the Lac d'Annecy in a really stunningly beautiful location. Our room was on the first floor overlooking the lake and the view was awe inspiring from there, so would be even better from higher floors. The hotel gets the sun after mid morning until the end of the day, so the sun... More

We visited Lake Annecy in August 2010 as part of our pan-France tour from Paris to South of France and stopped by to stay a few nights at this wonderful hotel with our children aged 9 and 7 years. The suite was perfect for two adults and children and the hotel is located in a quite corner of the lake.... More

This is an impressive older hotel but with all the necessities for a great stay. The setting and first impressions certainly have the wow factor. The hotel is huge with great facilities and situated on the edge of a lake. The grounds are immaculately kept and beautifully planned. Our room was very cosy and comfortable and there was plenty of... More
