This hotel cannot be praised too a much. A unique and handsome building set in a beautiful location, only surpassed by the gorgeous and individually styled rooms (which are spotlessly clean). The staff are very friendly whilst the owner ensures that each guest receives a warm, personal welcome. Helpful advice is happily provided on a wide range of topics and... More

Really gorgeous building and rooms. Modern spacious decor. Stayed in the upstairs room in the Tower suite. Massive double with living area and a single bed for kids. Breakfast was lovely and shared living rooms and dining area are spacious and lovely with lots of character. Easy to get lost in the building but lots of fun. Friendly hosts and... More

Suspected this accommodation would be awesome and it was! The owners were wonderful, friendly and very communicative - could not do enough to ensure our stay was lovely....even with a language barrier. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious . The furnishings and interior design within the house were sophisticated; artwork on the walls amazing! The house was very clean and tidy.... More

Nearby lake and Annecy, this guestroom is good alternative ! Not expensive, beautiful house from the XVth century, near the Menthon St Bernard castle. Big room, with sweet view on the garden, generous breakfast (salty or sweety) and very good standing ! If you have to go to Annecy, stop to La Vallombreuse to be in quiet place and far... More

Charming bed & breakfast (more like a chateau) near Annecy...we stayed here to go skiing and it was quite easy to get La Clusaz (20-30 minute drive). The renovation is fantastic, the house is quite comfortable and the breakfast was delicious! (hopefully they have the blueberry bread when you go). The house is like a maze, feels very private and... We stayed for 3 nights with our 2 children aged 5 and 9. The building itself is lovely and has been restored beautifully. The grounds are fantastic and they had play equipment for the kids in the garden. The views from the garden and the garden itself are just lovely. The breakfast was very nice and the service was good.... More

Everything that is important to us in a bed and breakfast we found here: a charming hostess willing to give information when requested, an EXTREMELY comfortable bed, quiet, excellent coffee, a traditional local breakfast, and a beautiful view out the window. The gardens are lovely, the mountain view is divine, and the inn is well situated a short walk from... More

Thank you so much for your nice impression left on Trip advisor concerning la Vallombreuse. I am just concerned on the fact that you didn't see the bath curtains that are in each bathrooms. It is true that we chose to put bathtubs and not proper showers. Maybe I have to explain this detail better next time to new guests.... More

I give this hotel a split decision. I don’t want to review it too much because there is nothing special either way about this place. So here is a quick list of what I liked and what I didn’t. Pros: Clean Spacious Great views Good price Cons: They advertise Wi-Fi, but only don’t get any decent signal anywhere, and when... More

We've just returned from our second long stay at La Vallombreuse. Other guests generally booked one or two nights and that seems a shame as it is very comfortable with a beautiful garden and dining/living room. We were invited to make ourselves at home and we ate a picnic in the garden almost every night. About half of the days... More
