La Vallombreuse is situated in a beautiful location, and the garden surrounding the building is something out of the ordinary. The rooms are individually designed and at different floors, but we had A very generous sized room at the ground floor with comfortable beds and a spotlessly clean bathroom of good size. Breakfast was served at the top floor and... More

Terrific hostess, who we found speaks English (lived in USA). Large modern clean rooms in a very large old stone house. The owners live on one side, guest rooms are on other side. Breakfast is on the top floor with lots of antiques, as well as throughout house. Tastefully done. This is down the hill from the Chateau, which is... More

We landed up at La Vallombreuse because our original booking got messed. The owners at La Maison De Pins contacted Odile, the owner at La Vallombreuse. Odile is such an amazing person, it was half past six in the evening and she had to leave the house at 7pm for an event but she took the time to run us... More

I am grateful to be able to answer now and thank you for your very nice review. This is all what I love with my guest house: meeting new people, helping out and taking care. Trying to give the best so that my guests will fly back home with great memories of time lived in la Vallombreuse. It is so... More

This hotel cannot be praised too a much. A unique and handsome building set in a beautiful location, only surpassed by the gorgeous and individually styled rooms (which are spotlessly clean). The staff are very friendly whilst the owner ensures that each guest receives a warm, personal welcome. Helpful advice is happily provided on a wide range of topics and... More

Really gorgeous building and rooms. Modern spacious decor. Stayed in the upstairs room in the Tower suite. Massive double with living area and a single bed for kids. Breakfast was lovely and shared living rooms and dining area are spacious and lovely with lots of character. Easy to get lost in the building but lots of fun. Friendly hosts and... More

Suspected this accommodation would be awesome and it was! The owners were wonderful, friendly and very communicative - could not do enough to ensure our stay was lovely....even with a language barrier. Breakfast was plentiful and delicious . The furnishings and interior design within the house were sophisticated; artwork on the walls amazing! The house was very clean and tidy.... More

Nearby lake and Annecy, this guestroom is good alternative ! Not expensive, beautiful house from the XVth century, near the Menthon St Bernard castle. Big room, with sweet view on the garden, generous breakfast (salty or sweety) and very good standing ! If you have to go to Annecy, stop to La Vallombreuse to be in quiet place and far... More

Charming bed & breakfast (more like a chateau) near Annecy...we stayed here to go skiing and it was quite easy to get La Clusaz (20-30 minute drive). The renovation is fantastic, the house is quite comfortable and the breakfast was delicious! (hopefully they have the blueberry bread when you go). The house is like a maze, feels very private and... We stayed for 3 nights with our 2 children aged 5 and 9. The building itself is lovely and has been restored beautifully. The grounds are fantastic and they had play equipment for the kids in the garden. The views from the garden and the garden itself are just lovely. The breakfast was very nice and the service was good.... More
