Old Post Office Campsite is one of the best old style campsites. Very well run,.Remote area. in the middle of many excellent locations to visit. Toilets, Showers , washing freezer, really recomend this one.Right next to the river, Kevan & Ethan Chatterley

Spent two nights here in our campervan with our two kids (4 & 7) and it had a pleasant feel despite the torrential downpours typical of England in August. Toilet and shower block were kept clean although use of shower was an extra charge when I personally feel it should have been included with the pitch price. No play area... More

Beautiful location, next to clean running river. The site was clean, with good facilities. Dog friendly, as long as they don't disturb the ducks. Was pretty quiet and generally a pleasant place to camp. The bad points were that quite a lot of the pitch was waterlogged. There were quite a lot of wasps everywhere and they regularly invaded our... More

Wow! A campsite in the central location for some of the best Wainwrights to bag here. I chose a campsite as my itinery was to be unsociably fast paced with early starts and early finishes. I had to be up and out within 20 minutes of waking and on my way. I was working against the daylight hours and needed... More

A great campsite with a lovely stream running past and views of the surrounding hills and countryside. The welcome was friendly and informative and the facilities, even though we only stayed one night were clean and easy to use. Overall one of the best campsites we have been to.

Camped out here for 2 nights over the weekend. This place is absolutely beautiful, set out very well. Everyone was really friendly. Very busy but not cramped at all we had a big pitch and felt very relaxed and comfortable. Toilets and showers were spotless at all times. Lovely place we will definitely be back. Thank you.

The Old Post Office is a very good campsite indeed. It runs along a river bank and is literally a three minute walk from a good local English pub. The site is clean, basic and quiet. We pitched to the right at the back of the site (as you drive through the gates.) The owner is very relaxed and you... More

Arrived earlier today. Neat little site tucked beside the River Irt at Santon Bridge. Owner is a friendly type, his dog prefers to reserve judgment. This site accepts dogs as long as they are well behaved, under control and cleaned up after. The owner lives on site. The hygiene facilities are well kept and more than adequate. A shower will... Stayed at campsite for a weekend with my girlfriend which we chose out of pure luck. We were located approx 2metres from the calming noise of the river which was fantastic unless you woke up in the night then gave you a slight urge to use the bathroom .George the owners dog happily wanders around site like security usually seen... Nice site overall, however we stayed bank holiday weekend and the site really was cramped. No space in between and at one point really blocked in with a tent and car that had been squeezed between our caravan and someone elses caravan, would return but definitely not during a bank holiday. We have had far better pitch sizes and a... More
