A lovely family run campsite. We arrived on a Friday evening in mid October for a 3 night stay and we welcomed in a friendly manor by the owner. We had a choice of pitches all of which were on well kept level pitches. The river runs alongside the campsite which adds to the tranquil setting. The site has good... More

This campsite is great it has all the facilities you'd expect, however take some 50p pieces if you intend using the showers - this is the only draw back I found with this place. I don't recall it being advised on the website that showers were 'extra'. The location is perfect, there's a lovely river running by the edge of... More

Found this site on the internet while looking for somewhere to stay in the lake district, we are so glad we found this campsite its in a wonderful location with excellent hosts. The hosts were so helpful and accommodating we picked a pitch that required a longer electrical hookup and they came to the rescue which meant we could pitch... More

Stayed there in a tent for 2 nights in july, and I'd recommend this site to others. Electric hookup available for tents which is a bonus. Nice and quiet and in a great location. Not much else to say really.

We turned up on spec and although mostly booked up, the very friendly people found us a beautiful corner spot for our tent. Everything you need is provided whilst retaining a low key and rural feel. The pub is a stone's throw serving local ale and good food.

Well located quiet little site(aprox 40 pitches, 20 with EHP) with good facilities and dog friendly, which is family run. Arrived to a warm welcome on the friday and given the choice of pitches, the pitches are well spaced and the central point off the field kept clear to allow kids to play to the full when not at capacity.... Just come back from a lovely 4 days camping on this lovely little campsite. We found it in April on a walking weekend with friends, we were camping on the horrendous military run " fisherground" a few miles away, and we got a nice feeling about the campsite, we booked it for our 31st wedding anniversary on 27 th July,... First ever camping trip to a formal campsite, This is a family run campsite, we had a kind welcome/reception, lovely location, campsite, babbling brook, pub, stone bridge, the campsite is pan handle shaped, we stayed in the handle end on the river side, probably best location is on the road side of the handle. The facilities include separate male and... More

Just returned from 3 nights at this site in the Western Lakes. Lovely peaceful site with 40 pitches so even when it was almost full on Friday it still felt peaceful. We pitched by the river & I would recommend this - lovely to go to sleep to the sound of the river. Very clean facilities - 50 p for a... More

Lovely campsite, the owners are very friendly an helpful. Dogs are excepted on the site. Infact the owners have a dog called George, who meets and greets everyone. You will see him wonder round the site making friends. (They also have a kitten called Tipsy, which nearly came home with us,its adorable). The campsite is very clean. We were pitched up next to...
