Extremely impressed with a fantastic welcome from the helpful chef and equally cheerful management/reception gentleman after arriving at 9:30 pm. Our twin room was really spacious, beds comfortable, room clean, hot chocolate and filter coffee were a bonus and bathroom & shower brilliant! Breakfast was absolutely delicious and there was a great variety. Brilliant deal through late rooms at £70... More

Stayed on our wedding night after visiting the restaurant a few times over the last few months and loving the place. The room were spacious and very clean and the bed was one of the comfiest I've ver slept on! The only downside is that breakfast doesn't start until 8am, which meant we couldn't eat before we left on our... More

We were really looking forward to staying in this Inn as it in a beautiful location with plenty of walks nearby. Due to a mistake in the date of a party we were attending, we had to cancel at 6.20 the previous night. I was advised that we might be charged, so asked if they could please call us if... More

I do remember your phone call regarding a cancellation fee charge to your card, which was received after our cancellation period. When I tried to explain to you our cancellation policy, you then threatened to post a bad review on Tripadvisor, if I did not refund your cancellation fee. I than informed you that I could not response to a... More

Stayed here for two nights to climb scafell pike. Lovely location. Good food in the bar. Excellent packed lunches for the climb. Comfortable rooms, the kids twin was two rooms with a shared en-suite which was perfect. Friendly and helpful staff.

We stayed for just one night last week, whilst visiting cousins in the area. Veronica was great in changing our room to accommodate our large dog. The room was very comfortable and furnished well. We had a very good dinner in the bar (so that Casper - the dog, not the ghost - could join us) and the service was... More

My husband and I were married at The Bridge Inn last August and have just returned home after a four night stay to celebrate our 1st wedding anniversary. On arrival a bottle of champagne was being chilled in our room, courtesy of Len and Veronica, which was a lovely gesture. They also suggested places of interest to visit as we wanted... More

Stayed here for 3 nights. Our room was very good and very clean with a very big bed and great shower. Staff were friendly and helpful. The breakfasts were great and the evening food marvellous and you didn't have to wait too long for it even on one night when they did over 100 meals. The portions are very generous... More

We were made to feel very welcome by the owners and staff who gave us directions and ideas of places to visit. We will definitely return but for... More

Only ate here, did not stay. Lovely location and a traditional pub look from the outside. Good selection of ales. Had the starter of olive and feta cheese salad. No scrimping on the olives or cheese either. Then had the steak with a side salad which was fine, but there was no proper English mustard - just those dreadful sachets... More
