This was a start to our road trip and was really a great choice Very relaxing and stunning views. The highlight for me was Peter the Chef, he is fantastic. He is very creative. A great find. We will definitely be back.

We had our daughter's wedding here at the beginning of June 2015 and had an absolutely fabulous time. It was a small wedding with only 13 present but it was so meaningful. Nothing was a problem for Trish, Jonny or Leah. The staff were extremely helpful and great fun. Food was excellent and top London restaurant quality. It's a magical... More

Wild Horses can only be described as one of the most beautiful and breathtaking places on earth. The view is beautiful, the rooms are wonderful, the food is delicious and the staff are incredibly friendly. We stayed for a long weekend at Wild Horses, which wasn't nearly long enough to take in the majesty of the place. We will definitely... More

We booked a 3 night stay at Wild Horses to start off our honeymoon. It was exactly as expected if not better, and we had an amazing stay. Blessing and Lizzy attended to our every need, and Peter the Chef cooked delicious food, which left us feeling spoilt. Even Elsie from housekeeping made us feel like royalty. We would not... More

We decided to celebrate my husband's 40th birthday at Wild Horses. Suffice to say our high expectations were met and surpassed. The venue is magnificent, the food was glorious, the staff were amazing and the view is stunning! So much effort went into every little detail. We felt utterly spoilt and will definitely be back for another five star experience.

This is a very intermit little lodge on the side of a mountain overlooking the Sterkfontein dam. There are only 4 rooms and so you often find yourself feeling like you are the only ones in this stunning villa. The chef prepares great dinners and breakfast is always more than enough. You can also opt to have a private romantic... More

Home from home in the most relaxing peaceful, friendly place in SA! The food is fantastic , and cruising the Sterkfontein Dams crystal waters on a luxury motor boat sipping an ice cold beer takes a lot of beating to better this experience! Will definitely be back , thanks John and Trish .

A tranquil place with the most amazing settings was exactly what we needed after a very busy last few months! Food was divine, I even picked up a culinary tip or two. Three course dinner was all well selected by their in-house chef. They were so open to breakfast requests... from full English with French toast to flapjacks and mascarpone... More

On our way back from KZN to Pretoria, we were looking for an interesting out of the ordinary stay-over half way to home. Well, Wild Horses was everything we expected, and more. The setting of the lodge against a sandstone koppie and overlooking the Sterkfontein dam, is simply breathtaking! From the minute you step out of your car, you enter... More

The sand road getting there is better than the 11 kms of tarred potholes after that. Its that bad! But thats where my negativity ends. From the moment we arrived, the staff were exceptional. We wanted for nothing. The rooms are immaculate, very 5 star-ish decor. The food was superb, well presented (both breakfast and dinner). Bar prices were very... More
