My partner and I decided to stop off here for food after a good walk around the reservoir at Osmotherly and we weren't disappointed. The staff were extremely friendly, the food all home cooked and the prices were extremely reasonable. This pub serves the biggest and best cheese board for a fiver and we certainly weren't robbed! We'll definitely go... More

Had an early tea at the Queen Cath tonight and it was delicious. I had the parmo and my hubby had the hunters chicken. The portions were generous, service pleasant and all at at a very reasonable price. We'll be back.

A traditional pub hotel centrally placed in a beautiful village, ideal for walkers and outdoorsy types. The staff were extremely welcome and friendly, as was the atmosphere in the pub of an evening. The food was good basic pub fare, and the room was comfortable and well-furnished, if a little poky. The only potential problem is the noise from the... More

We enjoyed our one night stay here on our Coast to Coast walk. We were quickly shown to our tidy, clean and comfortable room. The bathroom was small but fine for our one night stay. The wi-fi didn't work so well in the room but was fine in the bar. Breakfast was the usual fare and plentiful. The staff were... More

Nice pub excellent food, a very good atmosphere, we took our bullmastiff in and we were made very welcome by both staff and the regulars. A must pub to revisit. Good value for food and drinks. Live music on weekends.

Having completed the Lyke Wake Walk myself and friends stayed here at the Queen Catherine - a pub with rooms. The welcome at the bar was warm and welcoming, check in efficient and the room clean and tidy and with comfortable bed. The value for the stay was unbelieveable at £35 for a single room including breakfast. The food in... More

We (3 of us) booked rooms at the Queen Catherine as a resting place at the end of an East to West crossing of the Lyke Wake Walk. For £35 per person per night it couldn't have been better! It has a great range of beers and lagers, which is heaven after a 40 mile walk. The rooms were basic... More

We stayed here after completing the Lyke Wake Walk, Osmotherley being the start/ end point of the walk. The pub was very homely and decorated with local and walk memorabilia which was very welcoming. Crowd seemed to be a good mix of visitors, walkers and locals and they have good beers on tap. Our room was comfortable and although not... More

The food was always good and excellent value but since a new regime in the kitchen the food is literally going from strength to strength!! Can't recommend enough especially the Steaks ..... Great food sensible prices and friendly village drinking hole highly recommended
