Very nice country pub with good quality food . Friendly owners and a very nice invorment inside besides the log fire , perfect for a fuel stop before a long work in the moors . Food takes time to come ! as is indicated in the menu as all the food is cooked from fresh , but the wait is... More

Situated in the lovely village of Osmotherly on the West side of the North York moors. Ideal location for a walking holiday. Stayed there with three friends for three nights. Shared a twin bedroom which was ok, but small and had very little storage space. Staff were friendly and the full English breakfast was very good. I echo some of... More

Stayed here three nights on a walking trip. This is the only 'proper' pub in Osmotherly. The other two are very nice restaurants with fairly small bars. The bedrooms are a bit dilapidated but everything works, and they are well cleaned with decent linen

I cannot agree with most reviewers for the room we were allotted would have stayed vacant if it hadn't been prepaid. The building is old (>300 years) so plumbing was an afterthought. The sink is bolted to the wall in the bed area, there is no room for our luggage and only a tiny excuse for a closet forcing us... More

We stayed just one night ( wish it could have been longer) everything was great. To be honest I really wasn't expecting much for £70.00 for a double room , I was very surprised! A lovely clean room for us and our dog , crisp white bedding , exceptionally comfortable bed. First class dinner and a genuine friendly welcome from... More

We were a group and the other rooms were small, but fine. Room 4 has some problems in the bathroom and ceiling. The food is excellent and the locals hang out in the pub so it has a nice atmosphere. The rooms are over the bar so if you go to bed early it can be noisy.

I stayed here earlier this month with a friend whilst doing the Cleveland Way. I'm afraid the hotel was a bit of a write-off as far as I was concered because we were stuck in a pokey twin room where there was scarcely any space to put our stuff; the shower and loo were cramped; my very narrow bed gave... The Queen Catherine Hotel offers excellent value B & B. The rooms and facilities are spotlessly clean. The breakfasts were beautifully cooked. Their restaurant was comfortable, affordable and their chef talented. The locals are particularly friendly and spending time in the bar was an enjoyable experience. The landlord and his staff made our stay extremely pleasant. The Queen Catherine is... More

Stayed overnight while walking the Coast to Coast route. Excellent value at £35 B&B for a single room and kicked some other establishments I stayed at well into the grass! Although I did not get a chance to sample a meal in the evening, the menu looked reasonably priced. Friendly locals in the bar when I stayed.

Great traditional pub set in a lovely tranquil park of North Yorkshire. There is always agreat atmosphere and the food has always been of a very high standard. A warm welcome is always received. What more could you wish for?
