Lawrence is fantastic during mealtimes. A true hotelier. The resort is great with exclussive beach. Its truly a small and luxury hotel. Very tastefully designed depicking the famous swahili culture with great ambience. I felt appreciated as a guest to see Melinda the GM interract and dine with us doing breakfast. Thats what a true hotel manager should do!!

I was lucky to book our holiday through Hemingway Expeditions and the Tours Manager Mary Ngure arranged a perfect package for a group of us and our families all a party of 12. The Resort arranged for our transfers from Malindi airport to the hotel and the welcome was very good. Our rooms were ready and there was a team... More

Our family just spent five wonderful days in this fabulous resort and wish it had been longer. From the first moment of arrival when we were greeted by the lovely General Manager Melinda and caring staff, we felt welcome and at home. The beautiful setting, right on the beach, lovely rooms and bathrooms with fresh roses delivered daily on your... More

What a Jewel of a place. We spent 9 nights here with friends from the UK and have to say the place was faultless. The Accommodation, the food, the staff amenities & everything else you would expect was first class. Malinda the manageress was probably one of the most professional and friendliest persons you could wish to meet, The position... More

I couldn't ask for a better holiday!!!!! Came down with the family for December and I must say I had some really amazing time at the hotel. I have to start by appreciating Melinda, she is really nice, professional and has everything in control. I stayed in room 223 which has an amazing view of the seascape right in front... More

What can i say about Hemingways! The manageress Malinda is a pleasure to have met, Malinda is very professional and helpful we had a very traumatic time before arriving at Hemingways Malinda could not have been more helpful. It is plainly obvious how respectful Malinda is of her staff - therefore the staff are happy, friedly and very polite. The... More

Hemingways is expensive but you get quite a lot of services and activities thrown in, including an extensive breakfast buffet, tea with sandwiches and cakes, a copious buffet dinner, free transport to and from Malindi airport and various expeditions including snorkelling, a visit to the Gedi ruins, and shopping in Malindi. There are also two swimming pools, including one especially... More

Very good and fun beach hotel/resort in Watamu. Staff very helpful and friendly. Plenty of activities to choose from - including some good snorkeling - and don't miss visiting Gede Ruins nearby. Ocean and pool are delightful here. We had a great time overall when family visited us when we were living in Nairobi. Recommend using Air Kenya to get... More
