We had booked one night at this hotel, through the Logis de France, as part of a touring holiday of France and Belgium. Our welcome was distracted - a smiling man came out of a restaurant/breakfast room and handed us a key, telling us it was upstairs on the left. The Beau Rivage is in a lovely spot, right on the banks of the river Mayenne. We had their best room, which was large and comfortable. Dinner in the restaurant was very pleasant, although breakfast was unimaginative and bland.
