The lady who took our reservation was very curt and impatient on the phone. However, the staff were friendly and helpful on location. We stayed in a 2 room cabin with an indoor washroom and a fireplace. The cabin was very run down. It seemed clean but it was hard to tell considering the condition of the cabin. The rooms... More

My family and I have now stayed at these cabins for a week both this summer and last summer (2013). We feel for the price paid, these cabins are a terrific value in Waskesiu, and great for families. Both occasions we have had a B+ cabin, which is ideal, as it includes 2 bedrooms, full kitchenette, and attached bathroom with... More

We stayed in the motel portion of the motel and while the rooms were clean the bed was horribly saggy and uncomfortable covered with a flat sheet that came undone the moment you turn over in the bed. The rain shower head would have been nice it it hadn't kept falling down and we either scalded or froze if anyone... More

Owners have put these positive reviews in themselves. "Rustic"?? Hahah, be warned do not stay here!! I should of trusted my instincts. The woman on the phone who handles bookings is very very rude and unprofessional. Rooms are crap, I'd rather take 5 minutes to build a stick fort in the Forrest. Roof would leak less the armstrong hillcrest cabins.... More

I recently spent 3 days with a friend at the cabins. What at first seemed pricey soon became clear that everything in the park & vicinity is pricey. We had a 2 bedroom cabin which was small but adequate. The fireplace was lovely as there were a few rainy days & evenings. The kitchenette was fully stocked. The bedrooms were... More

I stayed here for two days on a recent trip to Canada. The cabin was basic but clean and with everything I needed to make a meal. Barbecue also. Great walks in the area and lake views. The local shop has everything you might need. Owners very pleasant.

The cabin was rustic but spotless! They are on the west end of Waskesiu next to the golf course.Very quiet and very clean.A great old fireplace filled the living room. We had a bull elk resting outside our cabin window. Deer and elk were grazing around all the cabins. A short walk to the beach and the businesses. A walking... More

Our family has been visiting Waskesiu for a number of years. For the past decade we have stayed in various cabins at Armstrong-Hillcrest Cabins. These are basic but clean cabins. They suit our family needs perfectly. I love Waskesiu and all it has to offer (lake/beach, golf course, trails and beautiful nature). We go there to enjoy the area and... More

The cabin we stayed in had 2 bedrooms (2 singles in one room and 1 double in the other) with a spacious sitting/kitchen area. The kitchen area had a sink, hot plate and full sized fridge. They could use updating, the carpets need changing, the bathroom renos have short cuts (lino as the backsplash in the shower) but it is... More

I have stayed at the Armstrong Hillcrest cabins for the past 5+ years. It is my first choice. We like to stay in the AA+ cabin (I think) which has 2 bedrooms and full bathroom (and kitchen). The owner is a nice lady who treats us well each year. The cabins are not fancy but are in a very good... More
