This hotel is recommended by trip advisor reviewers and I think the reviews need clarification. The Hotel is located in a pleasant wooded, grassy smallish parkland and is attractive., very handy to explore the Champagne culture. The reception were quick to welcome us and that was impressive. When the receptionist showed us to a third floor dark and ill-lit 'superior'... More

Bonjour, Thank you for the plus described above (very friendly staff, good restaurant, pleasant ambiance). Concerning the minus, the male person showing you the room on arrival, he was not a receptionist, he was in fact our young baggage handler. That is the reason why he can not decide itself to volunteer another room, what is was done immediately by... More

We (two couples) stayed over a Friday and Saturday night in early May and absolutely loved this place. In fact, we were rather sorry to leave but were off to stay at two other similar and no less expensive chateaux hotels in the Tourraine (in the end everyone liked the Chateau d'Etoges the best). Evidently, from the reading some of... More

I only stayed here for one night but could quite easily have stayed for more. It was a really lovely location and set in well kept grounds with a moat, ducks and a stoppy nesting swan! We had dinner in their restaurant in the evening which was very good value and the food was good quality. This made a very... More

we stayed here on our way back from the south of france as a stopover . This hotel is set in a loverly area of france and is itself in the small village of Etoges. The chateau is old and being surrounded by a moat looks fantastic. The rooms are fine - clean and tidy . The restaurant was very... More

Reasonable value for money for this traditional chateau with good service and not so good comfort in the rooms - old mattreses too soft and definitely smmall rooms. Common areas have a certain appeal, but are a bit overfurnished.

Without doubt this is a delightful property, set in gorgeous grounds and with an excellent restaurant. The location is perfect - a small village in the heart of the Champagne region - and the staff are delightful. There is always a smile and nothing is too much trouble. We had poor weather but there is plenty of comfortable lounge space... More

We stayed in the "Blanches" room in the main building of the Chateau. I would return in a heartbeat! The grounds are breathtaking. The views from the room were amazing - complete with two swans swimming in a water fountain in the back and ducks in the moat. The room was easily the most beautiful room I have ever stayed... More

We had a wonderful stay at the Chateau celebrating New Year’s Eve. The service in the Chateau and the dining annex was perfect along with this our room in the Chateau was lovely. The dining was an excellent experience with wonderful courses, and terrific celebration on New Year’s Eve (all age groups). However after two nights of dining and multiple... More

Satyed here in March for two nights nights. Ate at the on-site restaurant both nights and the food was just sensational, the cheese trolley is something to behold. If you go must visit the Borel lucas Champagne house at the end of the driveway, absolutely beautiful Champagne for a very reasonalble price.

I have had the pleasure of attending 3 champagne rallys at Chateau D'Etognes organised by www.club cuvee.co.uk The hotel is wonderful, the grounds are amazing with superb scenery of the vineyards. The Club Cuvee champagne rally is a very special event and all being well I shall be attending in 2010.
