We got warm reception, informative about area things-to-do, and received free upgrade (facing lake). All is tastefully decorated, inside and out, in blue and white. Manicured lawn & gardens (flowers everywhere) lead down to lake -- very quiet, peaceful setting. We cooked dinner in well-equipped kitchen & ate outside on comfy table & chairs. Crisp linens and most awesome bed... More

We first did not intend to sleep in Savona, we didn't even know the place. But a service station guy indicated it and it was realy easy to find. It was amazing to see that great bunch of flowers and perfect lawn, facing the lake, with the desert all around! Margaret and Donn were perfect, informed us of all that... More

This was a most welcome relaxing stop after many days of hectic touring. Margaret was very welcoming without being intrusive and most helpful with information regarding dinner. We were upgraded which was very kind. It was very quiet at night - we did not hear any trains or traffic at all. Both the facilities and the garden are obviously a... More

We stayed here in April 09 to break up our journey from Vancouver to Banff in both directions. We were lucky enough to be upgraded to a lovely room with a balcony overlooking the lake (even after we arrived 5 hours before we could check in!). The owner was extremely helpful and suggested things we could do in and around... More

Seeing the comments on Trip advisor it seemed all superb but we were disappointed: at 190CAD per night we expected more, it was the most expensive hotel/B&B of our trip and we had much nicer accommodations elsewhere. The room was fairly small and bathroom basic. No warm food at breakfast although I have to say we had enough with yogurt,... More

I have stayed at the Lakeside Country Inn both in winter and spring. It is the most beautiful relaxing place I have ever stayed. It is quaint, relaxing.clean, on the edge of the Lake it is just so nice. The hosts Margaret and Don are the most helpful, obliging people one could wish to meet nothing is any trouble for them.

What can we say that has not already been said about this B & B. We believe the word 'fantastic' is grossly over used to describe a place, person or thing. However, when talking or writing about The Lakeside, it's proprietors and the lake view the word 'fantastic' just has to be used. Travelling via the, now toll free, Coquihalla... More

We chose the Lakeside Inn purely on the reviews we read here and were not disappointed. It started off with a very pleasant greeting and then we were shown the essentials of the property and our room location. Our first impression of the room was small but immaculately presented and I would love to see an estate agent's description of... More

We were driving through Kamloops BC and wanted to play golf at the fabulous Tobiano course. Well Tobiano has NO accomodations at all which surprised us, so we booked at a decent rated hotel (in TripAdvisor) in Kamloops about 40 minutes east of Tobiano. Just looking at the tired, paint flaking and grundgy place (under the main highway overpass for... More

We recently spent just one night here. A lovely oasis out of the hussle and bustle of the Kamloops area. It is a little out of town but well worth the drive. Margaret and Donn are the gracious hosts and are full of wonderful information about all that there is to see and do in the Kamloops/Savona/Gold Rush country. They... More
