The Lodge is a very comfortable relaxing place to stay if you want to get away from it all. Paddy & Anne and their wonderful staff really look after you and make you very welcome. Nothing is too much trouble. Myself, husband and two teenagers went for two nights to get away from the hustle and bustle of city life.... More

This is a fantastic country lodge up in the Wicklow mountains. No street lights just stars at night...no internet, no mobile phone coverage, so peace and quiet from the outside world. Pub is full of hill walkers.. And there is fabulous food served here. Wonderful nightlife at weekends when there is regular music sessions and sing songs. A real Irish... More

This is a really wonderful spot to stay along the Wicklow Way. The rooms are clean with room to spread out. Bathrooms are clean with hot water. The restaurant is full service. TV for sporting events when needed. There is a lovely collection of tables outside where you can have dinner, a pint, play cards, and enjoy the views. Well... More

We found this restaurant on safe night parking for moterhomes arrived in the afternoon used the hotel and went walking. That night we used the hotel then retired to the moterhome about 10. My wife and I had gone to bed and at around 11 30pm. Some guys leaving the hotel decided to rock our moterhome back and forward we... More

Anne literally saved our vacation. We had only been walking the Wicklow Way a short while when my husband had a footwear crisis that could very well have ended our hike. Anne took time out of her very busy day to drive us to town so that he could purchase a new pair of boots and set us back on... More

We chose this lodge due to its convenience at the midpoint of 'The Wicklow Way'. It was a welcome sight after a long day on the trail, and the warmth and hospitality of the staff made use feel at home. The room was good with a nice view out to the valley. There was one small quirk with the plumbing;... More

Great place to start and finish a hike from, views and scenery are stunning, pints of Guinness were excellent as was the pub food, we didn't stay over night so cant comment on the accommodation but if its as good as the rest of the hotel staff included i would imagine its spot on.

I get a tingling feeling just thinking about this place. We had such a good time; Paddy and Anne are delightful and really know how to take care of their guests. We arrived without a car and got along just fine. Some of our fellow travelers arrived by horse-drawn trailer, others walked in from the Wicklow Way, a few sashayed... More

This is must-do stop after hiking in scenic Glenmalure valley. Grab a pint of Bulmers, take a sit outside and order well deserved meal. They prepare excellent fish goujons that I highly recommend. This is much better spot that over advertised Glendalough.

This was originally a hunting lodge so it is steeped in history and has an authentic atmosphere. The accommodation was comfortable but not luxury. There were huge portions of tasty food and a roaring fire after our long walk around Glendalough. This is really rural location despite being only 10 min drive from Glendalough. It's an amazing location for walking... More
