Thanks so much, Maura, for taking care of us on Saturday. We were welcomed with tea, coffee, biscuits and cakes. The rooms were perfect and there was no issue with us stumbling in a little dirty and smelly to our warm beds after the long walk. The great breakfast in the morning made us all feel a little better too.... More

Excellent place (Glenmalure at the heart of the Wicklow Hills), Maura and her family are lovely and welcoming, breakfast is excellent and prices are good. I have just enthusiastic words to describe my stay in this lovely B&B! Thank you very much Maura!

Expect a good welcome, hospitality and breakfast at Coolalingo. They will also prepare packed lunches and transport bags to your next accommodation on your walking tour. Bedrooms are rather disappointing, however, with very limited space and cheap beds and furniture. The location is perfect, and nearby Glenmalure Lodge provides great evening meals.

Great place and great value. I stayed there few times and would recommend it to anyone. Owners are lovely and breakfast is to die for! if you are an animal lover you will enjoy even more because there are horses, donkeys and dogs. I'm sure I'll be back again!

Second leg of a four day hike on the Wicklow way. Great welcome from the owners. There was a slight mixup regarding sleeping arrangements but this wasn't a hassle and the owners gave us tea and biscuits while they sorted it all out. Great showers and lovely breakfast. No problems accommodating one of our party who is a vegetarian with... More

Welcomed with coffee after a really long wicklow way hike. Our first introduction to Ireland b&b's after an all day hike. Welcomed by a lady, who has had house in family for generations, and shown to a lovely room. Got to enjoy her gardens and friendly outdoor dogs and horses. Had a wonderful time. Incredible breakfast. Great first impression of... More

I stayed at Coolalingo while walking the Wicklow Way, a day (10 rain-sodden miles or so) out of Glendalough. The setting is the spectaculare Glenmalure, with the Coolalingo brook (in spate when I was there) across the garden. Mick was welcoming, taking my boots to dry by the fire, and though my room was tiny it had an en-suite shower... More
