I've been going to Opeongo for many years visiting family who own a trailer there. We rented a pontoon boat this weekend and enjoyed the massive lake this Resort is built beside. There are nice little touches around the park - one being bird houses hung throughout that the children built. There was a frog jumping contest and every child... More

Love this place. Been going for 5 years now and will be back next year!! The kids loved spending the days on the beach and renting the pontoon boat to go fishing and swimming! Lots of great trails to walk or ATV. The fishing is wonderful!!!

Wow! We had a great experience at this quaint yet CLEAN resort. The owners were gracious and very accommodating. They were cutting grass, planting flowers and had a GREAT garbage recycle process with pick up at cabins daily. The beach was raked and the natural flora maintained. The cabins were VERY well equipped and clean. We are from this area... More

My party of eight has been going to OMR for the past two years for a spring fishing getaway, and we love it. The fishing has been good to fantastic, the cabins are clean and comfortable, the owners are friendly and more than accommodating to any request, and the marine services are adequate. They are upgrading their boats and docks... More

I dont write reviews but i needed to say. I went to visit friends at this camp and was unimpressed with the lack of cleanliness of the public washrooms, beach area and park. There are no garbage pails around for campers to throw their garbage so the park is littered with debris. There are new owners and it appears they... More

Dear lucy I, if you feel so strongly about it, it does seem a little odd that it took you seven months to write your review. If this is a fake or a joke, it is not funny. We regret that you did not seem to have a good time while visiting Opeongo Mountain Resort. Our grounds are inspected on... More

The place use to be a great place to go We live in the States and every year for 7 we drove to Opeongo for a week of great cabining and okay fishing , but it was the owners that made it worth while, Bob and Chris were great , they would do everything possible for you to enjoy your... More

As the new owners of Opeongo Mountain Resort our goal is to meet or exceed our guest’s expectations. It appears that this guest feels we did not. We did try our best even to the point of lending him our personal vehicle to assist him in taking care of a bit of private business. Unfortunately, a shirt we promised to... More

A friend and i drove up there from Halifax, Nova Scotia and camped on a small island in Lake Clear. We were able to park the truck on site at the main camp area, launch our boat easily and head straight to the island (after registration of course). The registration was a breeze, Bob and his wife were very welcoming.... More

Stayed only one night, it was a pleasant place. We did a motorcycle run up through the twisties in the area and stayed here for a Saturday night. Yes, there are children playing and making noise during the day BUT at night it is quiet and nice and peaceful. I slept great in my tent. Yes it is not wilderness... More

This is a trailer park, where you camp right on top of your neighbour with no privacy. We are tent campers. We arrived and paid and sat in the site in our truck. People were walking through our tiny little space with their beers. There were a couple trees on one side, and a trailer set up right next to... More

We are sorry that we were not what this guest expected. It is hard for a private campground to offer the experience of a Provincial Park. Our sites are large and shady but in order to provide water, electrical and other services, they need to be in the same general area. Most people seem to think they are quite nice.... More

I was recently camping at this campground for about 10 days and I want to thank Bob and Chris for the nice welcome. With my luck this year, there was a power outage while I was there, but I was really impressed with their setup of generators for the water system (my last similar experience in another campground was far...
