Cheap cost and nice location which you can visit to Gibraltar by the walk and Tapas street in the town only 2 minutes. Also mostly my favorite point is pet allowed !! But there is not enough facilities which no refrigerator, no hair drier. If you buy some fresh food in Giblartar, there not possible to keep in cool. And... More

The Margarita has a couple of pluses on its side: the location is good (whether you´re staying in La Linea or using it as a base for Gib), it´s clean, the staff is friendly, the rooms are cheap, and there are vending machines on every floor. The minuses: the water in the shower (obviously when I was there) wasn´t hot,... More

This small budget hotel (Euros 39 for a single, room only) is located just minutes away from the border with Gibraltar, and is an excellent option for those wishing to overnight but not pay the rather high hotel prices on the Rock itself. It has its own private parking lot (4 cars). No breakfast or bar, but there are plenty... More

This is a nice hotel and it is very close to the border. As hotels in Gibraltar are very expensive, it was a good find. However the room smelled of smoke and the staff spoke very little English. This is why I wouldn't go again.

A nice hostal in a good location (10 min walk to Gibraltar) and since the rooms are quite cheap, it's good value for money. The friendly staff gave us some useful hints on where to eat etc. The knowledge of english was quite good if variable among the staff. There is no breakfast served, however there are some vending machines... More

This place is about a 15 minute walk across the border to Gibraltar. The rooms are well appointed with eve amenity you might need. The TV is small though and not the flat screen you are more apt to find Tuesdays. The proprietor was very helpful with info on locations and eating places. Having parking at the front door was... The DOG FRIENDLY Hostal Margarita is well presented, clean and simple. No frills. It is situated in central La Línea de la Concepción which is a safe 15 minutes walk to the Gibralter border crossing. Staff are friendly and most helpful. I can't praise them enough. If you are willing to plan ahead; take own kettle, mugs, coffee etc. it... More

Cheap, clean and well located for trips to Gibraltar, or for exploring southern Spain. Rooms are comfortable and larger than most, more expensive hotels. Free wifi in the public area. Compared to some of the truly awful hostals in La Linea, the Hostal Margarita stands head and shoulders above. If the Asur or AC hotels are full, or too expensive,... More

We spent 4 nights there in June 2012. It suited our needs, we were very happy with the attention we received and our stay there was a happy one with no problems at all. We have recommended Hostal La Margarita to friends and family and we would definitely stay there again.
