The service, the food, the atmosphere and service were excellent. If you are looking for a top-notch restaurant in North Yorkshire, you won't go wrong with the Hopper Lane. The food and service are exceptional - and the location is fantastic. We intend to go back for more often and we will definitely tell everyone about this little gem. Afam... More

My sister booked to stay two nights at the Hopper but had to give back-word due to unforeseen circumstances. Notice was given to the hotel within the allowed time. On arrival at the Hopper on the second night she and her partner were told that no room was available in a rude and unhelpful way. They had to seek alternative... More

Just returned from a two night stay here and can honestly say 'WOW', you walk into a wonderfull atmosphere and beautiful surroundings. An 'Old' Coaching Inn springs to mind. The room was spotless with a great shower!!!! Only ate one evening meal (due to plans) but for us both the food was perfectly cooked and well presented (Saturday night was... More

Only stayed for 1 night the room was small but the bed was comfy. The food however was great lovely evening meal and a good breakfast.Other than the room being small this pub/hotel would have been a good rating.

My wife and I stayed at the HopperLane for two nights on the 27th and 28th of June. We arrived on Friday evening to a warm welcome and were shown to our room. the rooms have been recently refurbished and the king size bed had a very comfortable quality mattress and as a result we both had a very good... just had 2 nights at the hotel for our wedding anniversary, the hotel itself is well decorated and the furnishings suit the décor, all comfortable and stylish. penny had very kindly arranged for flowers to be put in the room after a request from my husband, the room was comfortable, clean and inviting. We had our evening meal, which was... More

What more can I say....this is one of the best places I have stayed for many years and I have traveled extensively. From the moment we stepped through the door we felt extremely welcomed. Nothing is too much trouble. The decor and furnishings have been stylishly thought through. Penny and Mark (owners) should be very proud of their achievements in... More

We decide to go for a birthday meal instead of the usual places we normally eat out at. We could not fault the food at all, it was gorgeous. We all had something different and were all impressed and happy. However the service was abominable. First of all the whole 2 courses we were there, the barmaid was talking and... More

We'd seen mixed reviews of this lovely old coaching house near Harrogate so weren't quite sure what to expect. The price for a room and breakfast at seemed almost too reasonable but we took a chance, booked, and pulled into the car park with trepidation. We were absolutely thrilled to walk into a gorgeous, stylish and contemporary interior with perfectly... More

an arranged meeting for 6, result, pork under cooked, having been at this establishment in the past expected better quality food. disappointing result this was the conclusion of all in attendance. staff helpful and polite, premises looked empty, and although obviously had a refurbishment of some type, it lacked attention to the flooring, ie gaps in the boards. I doubt... More
