If you're touring through Spain or fancy a weekend away, the Paradore in Lerma is a treat. A former Ducal Palace the bar area is the former courtyard, it's stunning and wonderful staff serve. The restaurant dies a great special menu, five courses in all, it was delicious. The rooms are comfortable, if not a little old fashioned, but this... More

A stunning 17th century palace, now a luxury hotel, in an otherwise uninteresting and impoverished region of Spain. Staff very friendly and English speaking. Interesting features include impressive medieval manuscripts, the salon of Luis I De Borbon, and an extraordinary statue of the Coronation of the Virgin.

We booked one night in the Lerma Paradore as a short weekend adventure. I can honestly say that both the Paradore and the town are absolutely fantastic. The history of the both are closely intertwined. The Paradore is fantastic! The staff were so helpful and friendly! The food...always amazing! We had the set lunch menu and the buffet breakfast in... My wife and I booked 4 days to celebrate my birthday amd our wedding anniversary. Having stayed in various Paradors in the past, with excellence reports, we are sorry we can not say the same. We were offered the Suite on arrival, at a special price at 50,00€ per night extra.(lovely four post double bed and a jacuzzi with a... More

I booked a superior room at the parador and these rooms are delightful, however, my husband upgraded us to The Bridal Suite. OMG. What a fabulous surprise. I was speechless and overjoyed. Its gorgeous. The bathroom is to die for. There are marble steps up to a very large sunken bath. There were floor to ceiling windows with views over... More

Beautiful building, and we had a lovely room looking out over the meadows and away from the noisy central plaza on the opposite side. We did not eat in the hotel, but the bar service was eager and charming. The reception staff, however, made up in attitude what they seemed to lack in experience. Lerma is a very pretty little... stayed here for one night 1st November. Room excellent with good quality bedding, very quite location. However restaurant was poor, sent my first course back stir fried vegetables which were an unseasoned soggy mess supposedly with duck hams (which would have fitted on one fingernail), wife's,goat cheese salad ok . Main course of scallops with very watery potato(made from dried... More

Our first visit to Lerma and its Parador was for no better reason that it was located at a good stopping off point on our journey. What a lovely old town Lerma is, well worth a visit with its many fine old buildings, narrow streets and history everywhere. The Parador itself was apparently built in the early 1600's for the... Staying at the Parador Lerma was delightful, the township is gorgeous and our room was olde world perfection. We adults ate in the restaurant ( our only couples evening ) while the children ate patatas in the adjunct lounge, which was a treat within itself! The parador itself was a bit quiet, which gave one the luxurious feeling of owning... More
