The duke who built this parador obviously chose the prime position in the area. From our room we looked out over fields with grazing sheep, a soccer pitch, and a small river. The building is a huge, superbly renovated palace dominating the little, somehow a bit sleepy town. We are rarely disapponted in Paradors. This was no exception. The rooms are usually large, well equipped and the staff helpfull and courteous.
