My husband and I stayed with our 2 children, aged 11 and 2 for 2 nights. First night in a cabin which was nice, cosy and clean. Second night were upgraded for free to the Blowholes cabin, which has the best views in punakaiki! justin was a great host and having the portacot and high chair saved the day. Will... More

Hi Debs it was a pleasure to have you and your family here on your holiday. The glowworm grotto is now thriving with a new glowworm colony and are spectacular at night now. Thank you for your pleasing review regards Justin More

Spacious rooms with comfortable beds. Nice furnishings. Kitchenette. Clean. Great stay. Conveniently located near the pancake rocks and blowholes (5 min away) and the Inland Pack Track (rainforest trail across the road from the pancake rocks).

Thank you for your trip advisor review. I agree this has got to be the best place to view the blowholes off your balcony More

A great little site just south of Punakaiki and Pancake Rocks. The self contained cabins overlook the bay but are not overlooked. I booked cabin No3. on the spur of the moment as I drove through Punakaiki and ended up staying for three days purely for the view and the solitude. Although there is no general store near by other... More

I can understand why you fell in love with Punakaiki as I did. It is such a Tranquil and relaxing place and Blowholes View is a unique experience where you can watch the blowholes erupting in the day from your balcony and then relax in the evening with a nice glass of Rioja or gin and tonic watching the sunset... Stayed here with small group of hikers walking the trails of Paparoa National Park and the near by Pancake Rocks. In many respects this is a typical New Zealand lodging with various types of facilities on the same property ( camping, motel units, and lodge ). But the location is awesome with views down over the Tasman Sea. The managers... More

Many thanks for your kind review. I hope you tried the short and and easy trek down the Truman track to the Ocean, a truly spectacular experience. Regards Jason More

Pancake Rocks in Punakaiki was one of my favourite spots on the South Island's wild and woolly West Coast and if you're going to spend a few nights in this small but unique coastal town, I'd recommend Paparoa Park Motel. It's clean, comfortable, surrounded by lush nature and the management is friendly. When our daughter left her comforter behind, management... More

I was here for New Years Eve with my family and we had such a wonderful time at the Paparoa Park Motel! The facilities are clean and cozy and the owner, Justin , is so friendly and helpful. It is well located at the top of a hill so you get a beautiful overlook of the breathtaking landscape. It's close... More

Stayed In a studio room for one night. The room was very nice and bright with a balcony looking into the trees.( Based on other reviews it would probably be worth the expense of getting a sea view room). The room had a kitchenette with adequate facilities for a short stay. The tv was very small but not an issue... More

We stayed two nights in a one bedroom s/c unit overlooking the bay, beach, and distant cliffs. In a garden setting, the units have privacy. Rustic, but perfect for the area. Ask for a view unit; ours (7) was amazing.

Stayed here for one night on our way up the west coast. This is a brilliant place with magical views over the bay and ocean, very polite helpful staff also. Would highly recommend this hotel. Worst thing about it was having to leave!

We stayed one night in a two bedroom apartment, which was really well equipped with everything you need to self cater if you choose. Five minutes by car to the beach and pancake rocks. Cute little glo worm grotto. Would stay again.
