Well appointed accommodation in the sparsely populated town of Punakaiki located almost on the waterfront. Provides for a homely yet luxurious experience. All facilities were great. Dont miss the opportunity to go horse riding. Pancake rocks and blowholes lookout site is just 1.5 kms away. Cafes are around the same distance from accommodation. Loved the drive along the coast. Lovely little cottage (we stayed in Miro). Looked like the best accommodation by far in Punakaiki. Also looked like it was much better value than the Punakaki Resort. Quick, no-fuss check in. More

Stayed in Rimu Cottage for one night, but wished we had booked for much longer. Gorgeous location and beautifully designed living spaces. Eat amazing pavlova at the Tavern just down the road and then return 'home' to try a spot of Weka watching from the porch. Highly recommended! More

Hydrangea cottages is the best accommodation! The cottages are perfect, beautifully constructed and furnished. The linen was lovely and everything was well equipped. the views are outstanding and we loved the privacy of each cottage. I recommend the horse trekikingyou will love staying at these cottages, I can't imagine what their would be to complain about. More

We thought that the rooms were clean, tidy and quite cosy given the wet west coast weather we were having. The staff were friendly and helpful. The kitchen was small but had enough facilities to make meals, and the bathrooms was of a standard, if not better than expected at a good hotel. Nice views. More

This group of cottages is in a perfect location while traveling the west coast. It's 2 minutes from the Pancake Rocks, and is situated right off the road, up on a hill.
