The Parador de Bielsa is probably one of the hotels with the greatest view/location I've ever stayed at. It is located right at the end of Pineta valley and it is impossible to miss (the paved road leads straight to the hotel). It is surrounded by seasonal waterfalls, 1000m+ high cliffs and nice views wherever you look at! Contrary to... More

The location of the parador is very good, the restaurant is excellent, but the rooms are not really up to the standard. It definitely did not help, that we were given two rooms for smokers, a thing that I did not think existed any more. It seem altogether a bit run-down.

I have stayed at this Parador twice, this time with my wife. She shared my enthusiasm both about the location/nature and the atmosphere of this place. Breakfast was excellent, too. Reading some of the below reviews, I see the point concerning renovations, etc - but maybe not change anything to preserve some places where the old school still rules... -))

The parador is situated at the end of a long valley with excellent walks from the hotel. The view from the room was wonderful and the food good, if maybe a little pricy. The staff were all attentive and friendly. The only option to eating in is a 14 kilometer drive to the village of Bielsa. The only two adverse... More

High up in the Spanish Pyrenees, we discovered a parador so pleasing that it was difficult to leave. Paradores have become hotels of choice because of the uniqueness of their accommodation. Initially created to maintain Spain's art and cultural heritage, ancient castles, manor houses, convents and monasteries have been converted into modern hotels with the amenities that sophisticated travelers want... First stay at this Parador. Great location and after coming over the Bielsa pass from France a noticeable change in roads. The rooms we had were not quite of the usual very high Parador standard, but we were on 5-Night cards, so you never get the best especially if the Parador is busy, which it was. We only had the... The hotel is about 13km along a country road west of Bielsa heading into the Pineda valley. There is a sign in Bielsa indicating a Parador is along this road, but strangely it wasn't clear from the name that it was this hotel - but I think it is the only one around so you can't really go wrong. There... More

Great hotel with the most amazing location. Arrival was great. Elena checked us in and we needed laundry service at 4pm and she did the laundry herself and it wad ready before we left the next morning. Awesome! Bathroom good the beds, as in all the Parafores, with great ironed sheets and so comfortable. The bar with an outside terrace... More

We stayed two nights at the Parador de Bielsa and enjoyed the quiet mountain surroundings. There is great hiking right from the parador. The rooms are clean and spacious and keep in line with the decor of a mountain lodge. If you are expecting an urban and cosmopolitain room you may be disappointed, but that type of room would seem... Check-in was swift and the lady at the check-in desk was friendly and fortunately spoke English. We got two free drinks coupon upon check in and we immediately used them at the bar. The room seems dated and needs a massive revamp. It kind of had a rustic feel to it. The room was also very small and the bed... More
