The Continental saved us when the hotel we had booked months previously had inexplicably cancelled our booking. As it was a long weekend things looked bleak. We got their last room which was huge with great views in two directions. Kingsized bed very comfortable. Staff very pleasant and capable. Location is good. Hotel is getting old but is real good... We stayed here for a few days in late June this year on Business. The check-in process was quick and the receptionists were helpful and friendly in advising on variouis hot spots and attractions. The double bedroom assigned was good ad the bed is of King size. Beautiful view from the room window as we got the city view and part... More

PROS Location was fantastic, right in the heart of the main attractions and great restaurants nearby (Red Garden, Jaya etc). The staff tried hard to deliver good service. Cheap CONS The Hotel itself is old and in disrepair. We had plenty of insects in our rooms every night. All the plumbing went through a cupboard in the room that looks... More

Great location, but rooms need to be updated. We requested non smoking rooms, which obviously had been smoking rooms, with a lot of deodoriser to disguise the smell. We didn't get adjoining rooms, but they were next door to each other. Nice views over the water and prefect location for exploring Georgetown. We needed to pay for wifi in the... More

This hotel was of a good standard for the low price we paid. Our family of 2 adults and 2 kids stayed in a room with 2 queen beds. The beds were comfortable and the room was fine. The view was nice out over Georgetown, the bay and the hills. It was convenient to Rose Garden Hawker stalls and many... More

We arrived at this hotel a day earlier than we intended to as we wouldn't stay at the hotel we had booked as it was dreadful. George at the reception desk at Hotel Continental was great and booked us into the same room that we had booked for 6 nights to avoid us having to change rooms the following day.... More

Good location, lots of food stalls outside. A walking distance to Komtar and shopping malls there. Noisy at night due to pubs nearby. Room ok, bed comfortable.TV reception no so good. No hair dryer, and safe available only at reception. Room viewing good, with sea view. Wifi is free at lobby only, chargeable in rooms. Breakfast is ok, has improved... More

I reached before check in time of 2pm on 19th May. Was told to wait as official check in time was 2pm. That's fine with me .We'll just leave our luggage and do a spot of sight seeing. However in less than 5 mins she said there is a room for us. That was simply wonderful. So we managed to check in... I booked a standard room for two nights on Expedia.com and ended staying for five consecutive nights and this is my review as it appeared on Expediom for which I do not feel the need to add anything to it: Pros: My room on the 26th floor with sea view. Cons: Bed and bedding. Location: Lots of restaurants and bars... More

Bt when we entered the room it... More
