Hutton Lodge is a very peaceful place to stay even though it is on a fairly busy road in the middle of Georgetown. The staff are quiet, but friendly and helpful. Very nice little "house" in the heart of Penang. The place is clean, bathroom is huge with a wonderful shower. The reason I'm not giving this "hotel" a higher rating, is beacuse all three bathrooms and three showers are down a long hall, all together. I've stayed in hostels with more privacy. After traveling around and staying in a lot of dumpy bungalows in Southern Thailand, it was so nice to arrive at Hutton Lodge! Clean dorms, ultra powerful hot shower, friendly staff, small breakfast, and big common areas. The building is historic and everyone working helps you out immensely. Will be coming back here!
