I stayed with my mom n dad at this home stay and had a lovely time. This place is like a home away from home. Thanks to Prasada family for keeping this amazing heritage summer home in perfect shape. Special mention of the general manager Mrs Aleem. She is a perfect host, very fine natured and hospitable. Food was a... More

We had a wonderful stay at Abbotsford. The property is beautiful, with great views and very well maintained. It retains old world charm but has all modern amenities - perfect bridge between the old world and the new. The attention to detail is appraent in the care taken to design every aspect of the experience. The staff and service is... More

Dear Arunima, thank you for your review. These old English homes are best for the spring and summer months...thought we have our fireplaces up n running in the winter but heating is a bit of an issue in India. Hope Ricardo was comfortable and the food was up to the mark? We at Abbotsford make sure we offer the locally... More

We stayed at this place for 2 days and were sooo glad we did. We took the hilltop view room 1 which is separate from the 130 year old house but had its own kitchenette, large verandah. The place is absolutely magical managed by mrs. aleem. She took care of all our needs personally. We practically stayed in the hotel... More

Dear Sir, thank you for your lovely review. Yes I was constantly monitoring the snow status with Mrs Aleem while you where there and was more concerned if you all were warm enough. The soup billing which was done separate is a bit odd - I have already checked and briefed the staff about this. Its should have been a... More

Abbotsford (Prasada Bhawan) is a fabulous property nestled on the slopes of mighty Cheena, set in a sprawling grove of oak trees, in Nainital. This is a geunine English Country Cottage, built over a century ago by an Englishman, and is undoubtedly, one in its kind. The house is tastefully decorated with original period furniture, genuine antiques and family memorabilia.... More

Abbotsford is a balm for the soul. We spent three blissful days in this lovely, peaceful and charming family run home stay in Nainital. The house has been with the family for over a 100 years and still retails old furniture, photographs and paintings. You feel like you are visiting old friends. The food is delightfully simple yet tasty with... More

Post a trip up in the kumoan mountains my daughter and I stayed at the abbotsford to rest for a day. A quaint and cosy heritage home just 10 mins away from the mall was anyday a better choice than staying right at the very crowded mall (due to dusshera holidays). Service by staff was just superb...food delicious...just like home.... More

We did a family vacation over this weekend and were recommended the abbots ford by a friend who travels these areas a lot and we were not disappointed. A quaint little place, about 10 mins drive or 30 min walk from the mall. It’s pretty much like a homestay with added service and amenities. The staff was super in their... More

up on the hill, in a quite corner of the Nainital mountains lies abbotsford. A wondeful place to spend time with ur family. More like a home away from home with a touch of Royal life style. A new year well spent. Stay was superb. All credit to the staff especially Mrs Aleem. Everything was well taken care of. A... More

Thanks very much for your wonderful review. Yes! I wish too if i could make the baths more luxurious with tubs etc but one of the reasons is to keep them basic and comfortable is to save water, the hills are depleting in their natural water resources by the day, that is something that we are very conscious about in... Away up the hill, beyond the chaos of the lake and the crowded little town is a road that winds ever upwards. Beyond Prasada House (as it is known in the town) Abbotsford is a four chimney cottage with red roofs and old-fashioned fireplaces. It makes you feel that you're in the pages of an Enid Blyton book. In fact,... More
