We loved this home stay !! Very cosy . We ate dinner twice and both times the food was good simple home cooked food .. We, 9 adults, 2 kids and a dog visited Abbotsford to bid 2015 adieu, and to welcome 2016. We enjoyed ourselves thoroughly. There were walks, including to Cheena Peak, visits to the zoo, boating on the lake, bonfires each night, and much more besides. It brought back happy memories of the past. The folks at Abbotsford were warm and welcoming,... More

I was there for an event. Didn't stay at the property (thankfully). Interacted with owners, who were friendly and helpful. But the caretaker attending to guests was not as courteous. Food served was not up to the mark. It was ice cold and staff had no idea how to serve (for example, a single spoon was kept to serve spaghetti)... More

Dear Sir, thank you for your open criticism. For one we are a 7 bedroom home stay and could only accommodate that many guests as directed to us by KLF management - in fact Shervani and Earls court are 4 star hotels much higher in stature than Abbotsford, we are just a home. As for the food - yes we... More

We stayed at Abbotsford for a week during the middle of winter and we found it to be a homestay in the best sense of the word..A cultured and yet very warm environment, with excellent home cooked food, a crackling fire at night and a truly sweet and hospitable Mrs.Aleem. Don't expect loud music or loud anything. It's an excellent... More

We recently stayed at Abbotsford for 2 nights and had a great stay. The architecture of the property is Victorian in style, with its gravel pathway, chimneys and period furniture. Added to this was the upgrade in room we received - we had booked a hill room but were given the 'king's room' and this was fabulous and beyond expectations.... More

Nostalgic and comfortable. Authentic home cooked food. Very different experience for the kids since it gave them the feel of staying in an early 19th century British Raj house in the hills. The view from here is just breath taking . The peace, serenity ... I could just go on and on ...

Visited this place on recommendation of a friend. Abbotsford is a great place to stay. We had a wonderful time away from the crowded Mall road. It is a very well maintained heritage property, a peaceful place and a heaven for nature lovers. The owners have done brilliant work in restoring and maintaining this heritage property. We had an excellent... More

Went for a holiday with friends on the 18th of June and stayed for 3 nights. It was an amazing holiday. The property still retains all its charm from the British time. It was a great decision to spend a few days at the Abbotsford Prasada Bhawan in Nainital in the beautiful hills of Uttrakhand. The property is a storehouse of history and its keepers in the form of memories which bring alive the facts that form and mould the culture and traditions in the our country. The Prasada family is a... More
