When we arrived we were warmly greeted by Michael and Sally, a British couple who own La Thiaumere. The B&B is a charming 270 year old farmhouse located in the picturesque Normandy countryside. Our room, which was spacious and very clean, had been converted from a hayloft. The location was central to the sights we visited including Mont St, Michel,... more

Not far from St. Lo on a country road is the beautiful old farmhouse turned B&B, La Thiaumerie. A British couple own and run this establishment, so English is definitely not a problem. Michael and Sally were warm and welcoming and very helpful in directing us to various places of interest. The B&B has been completely rennovated and the rooms... more

Beautifully set in the French countryside. The view is breathtaking, the rooms are spacious and immaculate, and the location is perfect for getting away from it all and to just relax. The owners are extremely friendly, were very understanding to our situation and needs, and extremely helpful in helping to plan our itinerary to help maximize our time. Our son... more

We stayed in a lovely B&B in Saint -Lo at La Thiaumerie to visit the Normandy Beaches. Our British host, Sally and Michael Byrne, made you feel welcome the moment you walked through the door of their 200 year old house. The house is beautiful and queit and is surrounded with quiet countryside views all around. What a great way... more

This is a beautiful home in a beautiful setting and not far from any of the places we wanted to visit. Coming back to the bucolic rural countryside after a busy day was rejuvenating and relaxing. The accommodations are totally comfortable, very charming, and you really are treated like family. We had several evening meals that were quite nice and... more

What a perfect setting for a gathering of old friends. Mick and Sally (our hosts) made us very welcome and we couldn't have wished for more. Sally provided us with fantastic breakfasts to start the day and delicious dinners and excellent company (Mick too!) in the evening. Mick is very knowledgeable about the local area and is definitely worth consulting... more

I had exchanged several emails with Sally prior to our arrival and found her very helpful. We and our GPS got confused on approach to the village but thanks to Michael, we were easily ‘talked in’ by phone. We drove up to a wonderful old stone farmhouse in a pretty rural setting and just knew we had picked a great... more

During the booking stage Sally emailed excellent directions and so we had no problems finding this homely and cosy B&B. Sally and Michael were very welcoming and hospitable. On arrival (Sept 08) we enjoyed drinks, nibbles and a friendly chat, followed by a delicious dinner (pre-arranged) prepared by Sally & Michael. The renovated farmhouse is very cosy; our room was... more
