We are travelling through France starting in Calais, and without reservation this is best GITE by far that we stayed in. It offers all one would need, plus the owners Barrie and Astrid, could not do more to make the stay as pleasant and enjoyable as possible. Like other reviewers the apartment is in a pleasant location and central located... More

For a long weekend this is our ideal place. The gites are clean, comfortable, and very reasonably priced. We went for a walking holiday and were surprised by the weather, which made the walking even more incredible. Astrid and Barrie were most helpful with maps and suggesting walks, restaurants and places to see . We have already booked again !

We had a wonderful stay at this delightful Gite. Barrie and Astrid were extremely generous with their time in providing maps, suggestions and advice. The Gite was spotless when we arrived and contained all the necessaries for our stay to be comfortable.

We had a week in April, so a lot was affected by snow, but the owners were extremely friendly and happy to help with any queries we had. The apartment is in a very peaceful location and is very cosy. The views are superb. Overall just a great place to stay in a beautiful area of France.

We have stayed here now during the last 3 winter seasons - skiing is great, as is the hospitality of Barrie and Astrid! They are most welcoming and so helpful with local advice - whether it's to do with restaurants, walking, film nights in the local cinema(English speaking) - it is just such a brilliant place to stay! We are... More

I have been five or six times now, and every time has been more enjoyable than the last. Summer time is wonderful walking, golf, cycling and lovely al fresco dining. Winter again lovely walks (the al fresco dining isn't so good in winter though), a beautiful Spa and good skiing. Very comfortable and very reasonable Gites. Astrid and Barrie are... More

The gite is fabulously accommodated and you WILL not get better value for money. Top that off with the incredibly friendly & informative hosts, Astrid & Barrie, and it's a guaranteed cracking holiday. The location is great, up a mountain side where the the gentle breeze will cool you down while you sit in the shade of covering foliage on... More

Two very comfortable and quiet self-catering gites in a tranquil, rural location only five minutes from the spa town of Bagneres de Bigorre. Run by an English couple, Barrie and Astrid, this is a great location all year round with easy access to La Mongie/Bareges for ski-ing in the winter and wonderful local walking/cycling. Bagneres de Bigorre has a beautiful... More
