We were in Room 103. A standard room at the front of the hotel, it had full length double doors opening onto a small balcony, looking directly down the length of the canal. Not many hotels listed in Sete, so here is a recommendation for Le Grand. Its an old building that has been lovingly renovated with some spectacular modern touches (eg the giant lamps over the indoor courtyard) that blend in well with the old. We stayed at the Grand Hotel in September and would certainly go back again. The setting overlooking the canal and the building are magnificent. Although the hotel did not have a room available overlooking the canal, we had the "African" room at the rear on the third floor which was huge, and also very quiet. Old fashioned hotel right on canals, scenic and especially lovely at night with twinkling lights reflected on the water.
